Checking Our List #22: Rody Horse from Magic Cabin {Review & Giveaway}

{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, eek031880!}

One of the things that I can always count on for my kids is that they have energy. Lots and lots of energy.

Whether that means that they are running laps around our house or dancing nonstop to the radio or just jumping up and down and spinning in circles, I'm constantly amazed at how long they can keep moving without seeming to need a rest. Can I bottle that and sell it? Or, more importantly, use it for myself?

As it seems like so far I can't, instead I try to find them fun and entertaining outlets to burn off some of that extra energy, particularly with the long winter months ahead of us. And when it comes to searching for quality toys that are designed to encourage creative, imaginative play that I know my girls will enjoy all year long, I always know I'll find a winner at Magic Cabin.

Focusing on the fact that early childhood is all about playing, learning and having a good time, Magic Cabin has a great selection of innovative and fun items for kid to enjoy for years to come. Their collection of Magic Cabin Exclusives are an especially great line that you won't find anywhere else but that are sure to thrill your child for birthdays, holidays or any occasion that deserves a great gift.

Having loved our Spinning Seesaw review earlier this year and the amount of exercise that Big Sister E and Little Sister B were able to get from it in the warm weather, I had no doubt that Magic Cabin would be able to provide us with the same amount of fun for indoors. Sure enough, when one of the incredibly entertaining and exciting Rody Pony Ride-Ons arrived, it was an almost instant good time right out of the box.

Made in Italy out of super strong latex-free vinyl, the inflatable Rody Horse is one of those toys that doesn't need instructions or a manual, just pump it up and kids will know what to do.

Within minutes of attaching our hand pump, I had our Rody filled with air and ready to go. One of the great aspects about these ponies is that they are so adjustable and adaptable to the age and weight of each particular child.

A smaller child just means you inflate the Rody a little less and, considering that the recommended age range is from 3 - 6 years, you can use your judgment to extend the use down to younger children by just adding less air. As well as the obvious fun, beginning Rody riders can help enhance balance and coordination all while building motor skills and working a variety of muscles.

Then, as children get older, they figure out more how to really get the Rody bouncing and galloping all the while laughing and having a good time... which is precisely what Big Sister E has done every time she has hopped on and grabbed hold of those long ears and gone for a ride.

The combination of the animal mixture (even though it's a Rody Horse, the look is almost horse-donkey-dog-sheep maybe? How else do you get that cute face with the short tail and stubby feet?), big smile, bright, shiny color, drawn-on saddle and forehead heart makes this one of those toys that you don't mind seeing out in your home during play or in between rides.

And as well as the modern look and the ease of use (just grab those ears and bounce!) I love how easy it is to clean a Rody. The thick, durable vinyl can be wiped off with soap and water wherever and whenever necessary with no thoughts about harming it. Really, the only worry with one of these fun horses is if a child bounced into something or was hopping so vigorously before falling off that they somehow got hurt.

So far, however, falling off of the Rody Horse around here seems to be a big part of the fun.
For holiday gifts large or small, Magic Cabin has the ability to provide creative, imaginative toys and craft kits that are sure to be a hit. Combine those with their friendly, reliable service and 100% satisfaction guarantee for life and it is easy to see why Magic Cabin customers return year after year for more.
