Freschetta By The Slice Pizza {Review & Giveaway}

{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, Megan!}

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FRESCHETTA®. All opinions are 100% mine.

Freschetta PizzaWhen it comes to pizza, sometimes I'm amazed at how many different ways there are to express personal preferences. Thin crust, pan style, extra cheese, white sauce, BBQ, mushrooms, onions, pineapple, pepperoni, herb crust, brick oven... and that is barely even scratching the surface.

Around here we keep things pretty simple (I'd like to blame that on the kids, but my husband and I are fairly picky as well), but one reoccurring issue that we run into is when we don't need an entire pizza, but just a slice or two. If my girls are napping and it's time for my lunch or if my husband is running errands with them on the weekend and I'm in the mood for pizza, what am I going to do with an entire one?

Fortunately, one of the yummiest brands around, Freschetta, has come up with a way to enjoy their unsurpassed fresh taste in single serving sizes that can be served up hot and ready to eat in minutes with their new FRESCHETTA® By the Slice options.

Freschetta Fresh ConnectionA single slice cut from a whole pizza, FRESCHETTA® By the Slice is made with the same premium ingredients for that same delicious fresh taste found in all Freschetta Pizzas.

Now, thanks to the innovative microwave cooking technology that Freschetta has developed, instead of having to take the time to preheat and cook an entire pizza every time, you have the ability to enjoy a fresh piece in just four minutes.

Available in BBQ Recipe Chicken, Vegetable Medley, Six Cheese Medley and Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom, we were ready to put FRESCHETTA By The Slice to a taste test around here to see just how well it would stack up to the "real thing" that we were used to.

frozen pizzaFor the plain pizza lovers around here, we tried the Six Cheese Medley and found that it really did taste just as fresh and delicious as if it had been baked in the oven as part of a full pizza. The blend of the different cheeses (two different styles of mozzarella, provolone, cheddar, fontina and Romano) was just right and the crust had a perfect hand-tossed thickness and texture. Yum!

In fact, I had been assuming that these pizzas would have a similar soft and mushy crust that out-of-the-microwave pizza usually does, but in fact when I bit into them, I was surprised and pleased at just how crispy they were!

cheese pizzaFor a little variety, we also tried the Vegetable Medley and the combination of the mushrooms, olives and red, green and yellow peppers gave it a fresh-from-the-garden tastiness that I really enjoyed. Normally I'm not a fan of veggie pizza because I feel like it just seems to end up hot and mushy, but this was really good!

veggie pizzaOverall, we were really impressed with just how well this pizza turns out after being cooked in the microwave. It's much faster and more convenient to pull out when an entire pizza isn't needed, and seeing as it received rave reviews all around, it would be great to have on hand for a quick meal now and again.

eating pizzaAnd, even though we won't have any leftovers to worry about when eating FRESCHETTA® By the Slice, the makers of Freschetta created a great little 6-piece Storage Set for organizing, storing, and keeping a wide variety of foods fresh in our kitchen.

Opening and closing with a snap, these storage containers have been great for anything from small snacks to large food items so that they won't end up being discarded. What a great set to have on hand!

How does a slice of pizza sound to you right now? Pretty tasty? Thanks to the generosity of the makers of Freschetta Pizza, one person will get to have a hot-from-the-oven meal right out of the microwave as well, because...

One lucky person will win a 6-piece Freschetta Storage Set and a coupon for FRESCHETTA By The Slice!
