I try to be positive and instill in my kids they can do whatever they put their mind too.

I have a son who is nearly 14, he has ADHD, we didn't find out until the third grade, and he had so much difficulty in school, he also suffered from a speech impedement, and had speech therapy for several years, he speaks better now.

He was put on medication for ADHD, but the first one, made him non existent, I think it was Adderal, and then they tried another one and he lost 10 lbs in one month, I took him off the medicine and he gradually gets better with age, however he has difficulty remembering and focusing in school, and they were told and served with papers he is diagnosed with ADHD, every year, I have to talk to each teacher and they always say they didn't know.

I am like HELLO, it's in his files, he needs more time, he needs to sit up front, and needs to be reminded. He luckily has never been a trouble maker, quite the opposite, always quiet and shy, very respectable, he used to be closed up inside, but has been coming out. But I always give him positive re-enforcement because he as all my kids, learn better and are more respectful of themselves and others..Sorry, Long comment...Thanks for the info.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
