Your kids have a cold right now, don't they?

I know they do because all of the kids I am around are coughing and sniffling and passing the same cold back and forth and are, in general, snotty and slimy and miserable about it. We're all doing the best we can to try to make them feel better, whether giving them extra drinks or running the humidifier or just extra cuddle time, right? What else can you do?


In 2007, entrepreneur moms, Mindee and Julie, were certain there had to be a better way to soothe their kids' stuffy noses than saline spray, bulb syringes and regular dry tissues. Big Sister E was immediately drawn to the colorful packaging of the Boogie Wipes and picked them up right away to ask, "What these, Mommy?" "They're for wiping your nose, they'll feel better than using a tissue." Intrigued, she turned them over a few times. "Want to smell?"

Sniff. Sniffff. Sniffffffffffffffffff.

Boogie Wipes come in three scents: Fresh, Great Grape and Magic Menthol and, after giving all three the smell test, Big Sister E was more than ready to have her nose wiped with Great Grape. She was awfully fond of the Fresh Scent also, but not so much with the Menthol, which is a little too strong for her liking (this scent is made more for extra stuffy noses). However, one of the Boogie Moms' Boogie Tips is to rest a warmed Boogie Wipe on your nose when you have a head cold and I think the Menthol Scent would be perfect for that.

I wasn't surprised that Big Sister E was a Boogie Wipe fan, as she isn't too adverse to having her nose wiped in the first place. Little Sister B, however, is another story. Normally when I wipe her nose, her reaction is... not so pretty.

Not only was I able to wipe Little Sister B's nose, but I took the unused part of the Boogie Wipe and cleaned the rest of her face with ease. The fact that they are hypoallergenic and moisturizing is a huge bonus, but the way that the natural saline dissolved all of the crusty mess under her nose without her minding was almost magic. Even better, when I picked her up and held her close, Little Sister B still had the faintest smell of the Fresh Scent on her skin.
