Lilla Rose Flexi Clip {Review & Giveaway}

My thoughts on my hair and taking the time to style it tend to go up and down.

I'll leave from getting a haircut telling myself that I'm going to take the time to do something more than just wash it and toss it in a ponytail every day; put in the effort for me once in a while... and it actually does happen. For about a week or so.

Then it's back to the ponytail because that's just the easiest, most convenient method to keep it out of my way and from being grabbed or pulled on by little hands. Is it the most exciting or attractive option, though? Not exactly.

So, when I was introduced to Lilla Rose and the Flexi Hair Clip, I was immediately intrigued as to how this seemingly simple accessory could transform my boring hairstyle ways into something much more striking.

Designed to hold everything from fine, thin hair to the longest, thickest locks, the Flexi Clip comes in six different sizes to accommodate everyone from children to adults. Then, choose from an endless number of colors and styles of the Flexi itself - everything from simple and silver to embellished and bright.

After watching the sizing video (which was extremely useful in helping me figure out which one was right for my hair), I couldn't help but click through the various styling videos as well. This one clip could work for french twist, tails up, drop bun styles and many more? The videos sure did make it look easy!

The next step, which proved much harder than I had anticipated, was choosing a favorite Flexi Clip. Did I like the crystals or the flowers or the animals in the design? Pink or brown or multi-colored? Sparkly or not? The options, oh, the options!

Finally deciding on a somewhat simple design, the Silver Etched Lily, I couldn't wait for it to arrive and turn my hair into something more than just ordinary.

The first thing that I noticed when the Flexi Clip showed up was that the pin was actually attached to the clip itself. I'm not sure how I missed that feature when looking at the pictures or watching the video, but as soon as I brought it to my hair I realized what an important feature it actually was.

By having both pieces permanently together, it is so easy to place the Flexi Clip where you want it (depending on the style you are aiming for) and then to just slide the pin into place. Done! There is no pushing or prodding to get it settled and then, even better, your hair stays solidly in place until you take the clip out. I'm not sure how one simple clip could stay so well throughout any movement and all day long, but it absolutely does.

And the variety of hairstyles, from putting it all up to leaving some down to my standard ponytail (but with a much classier look) that can be done with the Flexi Clip have made this my go-to hair accessory for just about any occasion.

I love sliding this in and knowing that it looks like I spent much more time on my hair than I actually did and, as it is extremely comfortable, I can completely forget about it for the rest of the day. Also, as a bonus, Big Sister E compliments me on how pretty I look every time that I use it - she may only be 4, but she knows how to make her mom smile!
