Before I had kids of my own, I never would have thought that taking a shower would be considered a luxury. But, in the 5½ years since Big Sister E was born, that concept has drastically changed in my mind... and I'm fairly sure that nearly every parent out there knows why (and agrees).
Therefore, although I know that it isn't financially or environmentally conscious to take a long shower, the times that I find myself able to take one with no one else in the bathroom have the ability to stretch out a bit more than they should. What can I say? The appeal of standing in the soothing hot water without someone talking nonstop through the shower door (or worse, knocking on the glass) sometimes makes my mind drift away.
Although the idea of an eco-friendly showerhead is appealing, many people immediately assume that they are synonymous with low-flow and that their shower performance will suffer. Who wants to stand there in a trickle of water?
Fortunately, Waterpik has the solution to provide a great shower experience while helping families everywhere stop wasting water with their Waterpik ECO 563 EcoFlow shower head.
Engineered to save water and money without sacrificing a great shower experience, Waterpik EcoFlow shower heads are just the thing to provide the best of both worlds (shower pressure while saving water). Using the OptiFlow technology — which optimizes the flow through the water channels and nozzles — EcoFlow shower heads improve spray force to deliver an invigorating shower experience.
As their logo states: It's conservation without compromise.
Furthering its commitment to water conservation efforts, WaterPik has partnered with Wyland Foundation's national "Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation" in celebration of Earth Month, encouraging people to take the pledge to save water throughout April.
The Mayor's Challenge is a friendly competition between residents of cities across the U.S., in which mayors will be asking their residents to make a free, online pledge to conserve water, save money and reduce pollution. Residents in the cities with the most participants will qualify to win hundreds of prizes, including Waterpik EcoFlow shower heads.
It only takes a minute to head over and take the pledge! I did and was happy to see that my city is in the top 100, not to mention all of the positive impacts that my actions can have:
As I was happy to be on my way to conserving water (while also showing my kids that water isn't just an endless resource), trying out one of the EcoFlow shower heads from Waterpik was the perfect first step.
It only took a few minutes to remove our old shower head and install the EcoFlow Hand Held Shower Head, as it attached right to our existing shower arm without problem. Once it was in place, it was evident just how luxurious of a shower this gadget could provide!
The five spray settings (full-body spray, circular massage, mist, powerspray and circular massage-mist) allow for each individual user to have a custom, relaxing shower. At the same time, there was no shortage of water pressure even with the low-flow technology.
In addition, changing the water volume was simple due to the control located right on the handle and the 5-ft hose makes it easy to remove this EcoFlow Hand Held from the base for showering, bathing kids, and more.
As well as enjoying the time in the shower, using this EcoFlow Shower Head can save up to one gallon of water a minute and $100 annually... meaning with a price tag of $51.99, it will have likely paid for itself after six months of use!
Available at retail and hardware stores as well as on Amazon (for only $41.98), if you're looking to make a difference in the way that your family uses and conserves water, visit EcoFlow to find out more about the ECO 563 as well as their other high quality options.
And, thanks to the generosity of Waterpik, one person will soon be enjoying their own eco-friendly luxurious showering as well, because...
One lucky person will win a Waterpik ECO 563 EcoFlow Shower Head!
