Recently, a simple question about smoking from my 4-year-old led to a lengthy discussion between myself and both kids about the definition of addiction. Who knew that it would be such a difficult word to define in terms that children would understand?

It's just... something you have to have. Your body needs it. Your mind needs it. People get to the point where they must have whatever it is that they're addicted to. Does that make sense?

Later, as I relayed the conversation to my husband, he cut in and asked, Why didn't you just use yourself and your coffee addiction as an example?

But even though my husband thinks that I should just quit cold turkey (the complete madness at the suggestion!), I prefer to instead indulge my addiction with coffee that can provide outstanding quality and taste. My girls have been in love with the three varieties of Grove Square hot cocoa — Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and Peppermint — and I have really enjoyed the strong, deep flavor of the Caza Trail Dark Roast.

However, my favorite of the three has been the sweet, rich flavor of the Grove Square French Vanilla Cappuccino. I adore finding a quiet moment to myself (there aren't always that many of them around here!) and knowing that it takes zero effort on my part for this tasty indulgence.
