J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogging Stroller {Review & Giveaway}

Jeep logo
When it comes to exercising, I'm one of those people that manages to always come up with a convenient excuse. There's no time or I'm too tired or What are the kids going to do while I'm working out? quickly come to mind.

Basically, life gets in the way.

That being said, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't feel the urge to make a change. Figure out a way to incorporate an exercise routine into my life that will not only make a difference for my health, but will leave me feeling good both mentally and physically.

An added bonus? If my family can be involved somehow as well.

Which is why the J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger is the solution for us all.

J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger

From walking to jogging to running, the J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger allows it all with a simple click to swivel or lock the front wheel in place.

Add in the ability to attach your iPod to listen to your favorite tunes on the go, air-filled tires for comfort and performance, ample storage, and a multi-position reclining seat, and it is clear that this stroller is built to make users as well as riders happy.

Anxious to head out for a jog, I began removing the parts to the J is for Jeep jogging stroller from the box and initially wondered how much time it would take to assemble them.

J is for Jeep stroller assembly

Fortunately, Jeep knows that parents are busy and don't have hours to spend constructing their products. After only around 15-20 minutes with the clear instructions, a screwdriver and two wrenches, I stepped back to see this high quality stroller fully assembled and ready to go.

J is for Jeep stroller review

Designed for children up to 60 pounds, I was immediately pleased with the ease in which the J is for Jeep Jogger can adjust for infants up to preschoolers.

For the youngest riders, this stroller is compatible with many popular infant car seats (no adapter required) including: Baby Trend, Britax, Chicco, Cosco, Graco, Peg Perego and Safety 1st. No need to purchase a separate stroller or travel system, simply attach your car seat right on top.

When using the J is for Jeep multi-position reclining seat, you are easily able to select the perfect angle for your child. From sitting fully upright to laying down nearly flat, the strap in the back can be loosened or tightened with the use of only one hand.

Jeep stroller recline

At the same time, the large canopy provides plenty of protection from the elements when you're out for a stroll, while still including a window to peek in or out for communication and a mesh backing to allow air to flow through.

Even more, the cup holders (one for the child and two for the parent) ensure that everyone stays hydrated and comfortable.

But Jeep didn't stop there when including features that would please users both young and old of the J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger.

The innovative addition of the iBaby Sound System makes it simple to plug in your iPod or MP3 player and allow the parent as well as the child to listen to tunes that range from soothing to upbeat.

When it is time to head out for a jog (or even just to walk around the mall), this is one stroller that is extremely easy as well as convenient to use.

The Smart Handle adjusts up or down with the press of a button, making it so that taller folks don't have to bend down while vertically challenged folks such as myself can still find the most comfortable level for their arms.

adjustable stroller handle

One of the features that is used most often with any stroller, the storage basket, also does not disappoint in the J is for Jeep.

The large, underseat storage has plenty of room to store your belongings for exercising or for everyday use, while the ability to access it from the front or back of the stroller is a great touch. No worries if you have the seat laid down while your child is napping, you are still able to reach right in underneath the footrest to grab or stash your items.

Jeep stroller storage

When it comes to heading out on the trails (whether paved or not), the J is for Jeep provides the smoothest ride I've experienced with a jogging stroller.

The 16-inch rear air-filled tires glide along even the most uneven surfaces and the shock-absorbing suspension system makes a difference in not feeling all of the bumps and dips along the way.

jogging stroller wheels

While the front wheel can be left unlocked to swivel for day to day use, locking it into place immediately provides the stability and maneuverability needed for a good brisk walk or an invigorating run.

While I love all of the features and ways that Jeep included to ensure the J is for Jeep Jogger provides a comfortable and smooth ride for everyone, I appreciate that they also didn't skimp on safety.

The 5-point harness, a must-have for keeping kids safe in any stroller but in particular for a jogger, is adjustable through any of the three slots of varying heights. No matter if you are pushing your little one, your toddler or your big kid, they can all stay, secure and cozy.

stroller 5-point harness

Another necessity with a jogger, the J is for Jeep's safety tether is conveniently located so that there is never an issue or a worry over the stroller getting away from you while going downhill or that you could feel as though it has gotten out of control.

jogging stroller tether

Just as I had suspected, this stroller has proven to be very well made, fully functional and just the thing to get me up and moving. While it does weigh 31.5 lbs and is therefore a bit on the heavy side for a great deal of moving and lifting, it still folds small enough to easily fit in the back of a car or store easily in a closet or out of the way.

As a great bonus, the J is for Jeep even includes their unique Free-Stand design so that not only does it fold up quickly and easily, but it stands upright on its own. I love the space-saving ability as well as not having to worry about another piece of baby/child gear that lays across the floor to be stepped over.

Jeep stroller fold

Retailing exclusively from Buy Buy Baby for $299.99, the J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger does it all. Instead of purchasing multiple strollers for different aspects of your life, this single piece of equipment can allow you to get outdoors, get in shape, and spend quality time with your child.

The end result is that Mom or Dad gets exercise while their little one receives a smooth, comfortable ride. At the same time, everyone gets to enjoy a little fresh air, some great tunes, and the bonding that comes from spending time together. It's a win-win!

When it comes to an extremely high quality, durable jogging stroller that is made to last from birth throughout many years of childhood (at almost 6, Big Sister E will happily climb in and go for a jog with Mommy!), the J is for Jeep has met and surpassed all of my expectations. Whether you are a dedicated runner or just are looking for a way to add a little fitness to your life, this is a great way to do it!

And, thanks to the generosity of Jeep, one person will get to find out just how much they love to jog with their child, because...

One lucky person will win a J is for Jeep Wrangler Sport Jogger!
