pediped footwear Debuts Spring/Summer 2013 Collection {Review & Giveaway}

pediped logo
I've mentioned it before, but one of the things that I consistently look forward to with the arrival of spring is sandals. Being able to pack away the winter boots and pull out easy-to-wear, comfortable, warm weather shoes just has a way of making me happy each year.

But it's not only my own feet that are excited about the change in footwear, my kids are also big fans of the comfort, style, and versatility that goes along with summer sneakers, flats and sandals... and when it comes to the children's shoes that we know and love, we always turn to pediped footwear.

pediped footwear

The unparalleled quality, durability and distinctive fashionable styles — with new ones being added all the time — from pediped are perfect for everything from casual to dressy occasions. No matter what age or stage of development your child is in, from infant to age 7, pediped has a pair of shoes that will keep their feet safe, healthy and looking good at the same time.

We have long loved all three collections that pediped has to offer and have continued to be impressed time and again with the styles, color combinations, Memory Foam Technology and more.

No matter the need, the vast variety of Mary Janes, sandals, sneakers and boat shoes in sweet pastels, seaside nauticals and bright neons are sure to have every occasion covered for all upcoming warm weather adventures.

pediped's three signature lines include:

The Originals line ($37) of flexible, soft-soled infant shoes are recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists, as they mimic barefoot walking for ages 0-24 months. Our Originals garnered compliments for both Big Sister E and Little Sister B when they showed them off in those early months and I couldn't have been happier knowing their developing little feet were protected!

Then there is the Grip 'n' Go line ($48), featuring the same benefits as the Originals but with special G2 Technology for active toddlers that are transitioning to walking with a more confident stride. What perfect shoes for those increasingly faster and faster steps of children 9 months - 3 years.

Finally, the Flex collection ($39 to $59) is the ultimate shoe for established, confident walkers who have developed a solid, natural stride. This line offers more than 50 styles covering an array of color options throughout their water-safe, eco-friendly Adventure Line, washable athletic shoes and more in EU sizes 20-33.

pediped Flex Evangeline

Having adored our previous pediped experiences, Big Sister E and I couldn't wait to see what pair would arrive for her to don this spring.

In absolutely perfect timing (as she was just starting to outgrow the Caleb Brown tennis shoes from a past pediped review) when we pulled the Flex Venus in Charcoal/Blue out of the box, both of our jaws dropped a few inches when we saw that they were exactly the pair that she would have designed for herself.

pediped flex venus

My rugged, rough-and-tumble girl loves tennis shoes and especially loves turquoise and silver, so it was no wonder that she reached for this pair of shoes while whispering, in an awed voice, These are for ME?

Made with Ultra Light Technology, these comfortable and stylish shoes are especially designed to support children's growing feet. Featuring flex grooves to support natural foot movement and heal cushioning, this line provides maximum flexibility while remaining light as air — these shoes only weigh approximately five ounces!

pediped review

These modern tennis shoes are water safe and washable and the Velcro closure makes them extremely easy to get on and off. As well as the easy care, I love that the breathable mesh upper allows for airflow and the heel cushion protects against impact and distributes pressure evenly. Big Sister E's feet can stay snug, dry and looking good day after day!

But one of my absolute favorite features of these pediped shoes is that they contain their trademark Flex Fit System. By providing an additional set of insoles, these can be inserted for a more snug fit (they reduce the shoe size by almost half a size) and then removed for room as the child's foot grows. Talk about extending the life of a shoe!

pediped flex system

The comfort, the shiny appearance, the Flex Fit System — it all comes together to result in a really great pair of shoes that, as this short video shows, Big Sister E has been beyond excited about each and every day!

pediped footwear is sold in over 3000 stores in the United States and 40 countries worldwide with an offering of more than 130 designs for boys and girls between their three lines (available in EU sizes ranging from 17 to 33).

kids sandalsThere is no doubt that each and every pair features pediped's signature comfortable fit along with a broadened range of colors and fabrics.
