Bling it to Life with Blingles and Blingles Glimmer {Review & Giveaway}

Blingles logo
Even though Big Sister E isn't the most girly girl around (as opposed to Little Sister B, who wishes she were actually covered in head-to-toe pink and purple sequins at all times), both of them have seemed to always live by the rule of thumb that more bling = more better.

Basically, if it is possible to ever have too much sparkle and shine, we haven't yet reached that point.

So, when it comes to adding glitter and twinkle to their lives, the only way to make it even more eye-catching and fun is by allowing them to personalize and decorate their accessories exactly to their liking. Custom bling is the way to go!

One of our favorite companies that allows girls to easily add colorful twinkle to their cell phones, notebooks, lockers, headphones, electronics, jewelry and more is the unique and fun Blingles and the new Blingles Glimmer.

Blingles and Blingles Glimmer

An innovative and popular arts and crafts line from Moose Toys, Blingles let girls create their own gem designs that stick to almost anything. Stickers with custom bling? What could be better!

As Blingles allow you to add your own colorful sparkle just about anywhere quickly and easily, when we heard that this year Moose introduced Glimmer to the Blingles family, I knew that we had to check these out. Now girls can make even more sparkling stickers with both rhinestones and glitter!

Blingles review

While my girls are too young to have a cell phone or a locker to bling out, we all took one look at the Blingles Bling It Beauty Case and Blingles Glimmer Glam Styler that arrived and knew that they would provide a creative, colorful, sparkling good time.

Pulling open the Blingles Bling It Beauty Case first, we found the case itself as well as a key, storage tray, 320 gems, gem pen, gem mat, glue roll, transfer slides, a variety of design templates and instructions. Everything we needed to create all sorts of unique gem stickers that could be adhered to the case... or just about anywhere else!

As the only thing we needed to add to this kit was an imagination and time to bling, it didn't take long before the girls had their crafting underway.

While I initially wondered if the process of using Blingles would be too difficult or time-consuming for Little Sister B (they are recommended for ages 6+), we soon found that each of the steps were simple enough that, when she took her time, were not too complicated.

After choosing an included design template, the girls carefully laid the clear gem mat on top of it and selected the colored gems with the specially designed gem pen.

After applying (dot, dot, dot) the gems to the template with the pen...

...the included transfer slides and glue sheets applied glue to the gems. They were then ready to be placed onto whatever smooth surface girls wanted to bling!

Although I was initially skeptical that Blingles would keep both girls' attention (not to mention actually hold their pattern and stick tight to whatever surface to which they were applied) I was proven completely wrong by the time we were finished blinging our first project!

We all had a lot of fun and the results were custom, personalized pieces that the girls couldn't wait to play with and show off for quite some time.

At the same time, the Blingles Glimmer Glam Styler provided everything we needed to create 60 glitter stickers that were just as fun and sparkly: sticker sheets, glitter colors, glitter rollers, glitter pen, glitter brush, 10 gems and instructions.

Instead of applying each individual gem like with the original Blingles, the Blingles Glimmer set gives girls the opportunity to use a mini roller to rub on the glitter of their choosing...

...brush away the extra to save for next time...

...and then glam up their belongings with a bright, fun, glittery sticker or two (or three, or more)!

Blingles Glimmer stickers review

Each instance we have set aside time to pull out our Blingles and Blingles Glimmer, the girls have had a great time adding sparkly designs to their possessions without any problem and with minimal help. I think that the Blingles collection would be great for just about any young girl that wants to add a little custom bling to her life!

Ranging in price from $9.99 to $19.99 (available at most major toy retailers or on MyBlingles.com and Amazon.com) the Blingles and Blingles Glimmer line includes everything girls need to create fun designs like musical notes, fruits and candy, stars, letters, animals and more.

If you have a young lady in your life that would enjoy showing off her personal style and love of sparkles, these would be great gifts to celebrate heading back to school, the holidays, birthdays and more!

Thanks to the generosity of Blingles, one person will get to provide the girl in their life with that opportunity as well, because...

One lucky person will win a Series 3 Blingles Theme Pack!
