Chuggington: Wilson and the Ice Cream Fair DVD {Review & Giveaway}

Ever since becoming a Chuggington Conductor earlier this year, the excitement over this CGI-animated preschool series in our house has increased tenfold. We watch Chuggington, we play Chuggington, we talk Chuggington... I'm pretty sure that if we aren't careful, we're going to turn into Wilson, Brewster and Koko pretty soon!

So, as much as we've enjoyed riding the rails with our favorite chuggers when we catch them on Disney Junior, we were even more excited to find that the newest Chuggington product pulling into stations everywhere was none other than a DVD featuring a collection of fun and frosty adventures. It's time to tune in to Wilson and the Ice Cream Fair!

New Chuggington DVD

Available May 15, 2012 from Anchor Bay Entertainment, Wilson and the Ice Cream Fair is an all-new collection of episodes that will have any young trainee's bumpers bursting with excitement as they watch Koko, Wilson, Brewster and their friends embark on a variety of escapades that have them working together to learn important new lessons.

Episodes include:
  • Wilson and the Ice Cream
  • Bang Klang Wilson
  • Frostini's Fruit Fandango
  • Frostini's Meltdown
  • Koko's Puppy Training
  • Brewster and the Dragon
As the star of the DVD, Wilson takes to the rails with lots to do: he must make a special delivery to the ice cream fair, help Frostini create a new flavor for the mayor's banquet and, somehow, help prevent a massive ice cream meltdown on the hottest day of the year!

The non-stop fun continues when Wilson, Brewster and Koko visit the Chuggington ice cream factory, assist with a brave rescue at the Safari Park and embark on an exciting journey to the ice caves. Alongside helpful chuggers like Old Puffer Pete and Mtambo, the young trainees (as well as viewers at home) discover important lessons about responsibility, cooperation, paying attention, overcoming fear and more.

Chuggington

By breaking this DVD into each individual episode, it makes it easy for kids to stay interested while not being too much for their attention spans. The Chuggington characters are colorful, vibrant, young and fun, and my daughters are always curious to see what will happen next in their adventures.

I appreciate that the storylines and plots are not repetitive or boring, and of course I love that the ultimate lessons learned at the end are worthwhile and important for kids of all ages. While I have yet to get the infectious theme music to stop running through my head, it's clear that all tracks in Chuggington lead to fun! Recommended for ages 3+ and retailing for $14.98, Wilson and the Ice Cream Fair will be available on May 15th online and in stores near you.

But wait, there's more to be found than just entertainment and laughs from Chuggington, there is also a great cause! In September of 2011, Chuggington partnered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for a child-friendly traffic safety campaign, the 'Think Safe, Ride Safe, Be Safe'.

To date, the campaign has received over 475,000 pledges from children nationwide to 'be safe' when it comes to traffic safety and efforts are now being made to reach 500,000! Head over and check out the campaign's cornerstone pledge with your trainee today and help make a difference!

And, thanks to the generosity of Chuggington, one person will be honking their horns soon as well, because...

One lucky person will win a copy of
Wilson and the Ice Cream Fair on DVD!
