Celebrating our Game Day Traditions with P&G and Walmart {#GameDayTraditions}

Growing up in a non-sports fan household, my first real introduction to cheering on a team probably came in high school when I would go with friends to football games (although I highly doubt that I paid that much attention to the game itself).

In college, however, I began to notice that attending football game after football game actually left me quite a bit interested in the game itself. Whether it was the die hard spirit of the school and the fans or simply that I finally understood many of the rules and complexities, football was suddenly much less foreign and a lot more fun.

Fast forward to today and having married a born and raised Wisconsin boy? Football. Football is life and the Packers are everything (followed closely by our alumni, the University of Wisconsin Badgers). We watch, we cheer, we yell, we travel to see games in person — it's just what we do!

So when it comes to getting together with family and friends to spend a day eating, drinking, and cheering on the green and gold, there is no doubt that we have a few traditions.

Wearing full Packer gear? Check.

Craft projects planned for the kids when they get bored? Check (thanks to Grandma).

Bowls of chips and pretzels filled? Stocked up on beverages? Sandwich fixings prepared? Taco dip opened and ready? Check, check, check.

Really, the only negative about getting together to watch football is the cleanup, both before and after. I'm not having people over when our house is a mess and, due to the amount of "enthusiasm" displayed during the game, the aftermath can be a bit tricky as well.

Everywhere I looked, it was clear to see that Eureka had thought out each and every detail. Depending on the location and surface of your next cleaning, you simply attach or detach any of the helpful accessories that are stored right on the vacuum itself.

Have dirty stairs? The Turbo Nozzle is perfect for zipping right up and around them. Trying to get down into tight gaps or narrow spaces? The Extension Wand and Crevice Tool give you plenty of extended reach for tight (or hard-to-reach) areas. Cleaning away dust? Just pop on the Combination Brush and it's history!

At the same time, telling the Brushroll Clean whether you are cleaning the floor or using the tools is done with the simple twist of the large dial (the air path selector knob) right on the side. Switching from one to the other takes only seconds and this suction control lets you direct all of the power to the floors or to the tools, so you can deep clean to stairs, furniture and crevices.

However, my all-time favorite accessory (and one that I am a firm believer in that should be on every vacuum) is that the Eureka Brushroll Clean has an automatic cord rewind button.

I'm always annoyed having to wind around and around by hand, so having the ability to just press and stand there while the cord rolls itself back up makes me very happy!

Even better, right inside the canister there is a washable dust cup filter that reduces maintenance costs because it is washable and reusable, requiring less frequent replacement!

But when it comes to reducing the hassle and time of maintaining your vacuum, Eureka truly raised the bar with their patented new Brushroll Clean Technology.

Simply ensure that the vacuum and the brushroll are turned on before pressing the Brushroll Clean pedal for approximately 10 seconds. The result is what sounds like a pair of clippers snipping each and every piece of tangled hair from the brushroll... that, when it is finished, is spotlessly clean and ready for more use!

All in all, the Eureka Brushroll Clean provides the durability, quality and performance that I have been looking for when it comes to keeping my often-messy life under control. Although I've found that keeping a house clean when there are children living there is difficult enough to do on its own, summertime seems to be a whole different situation altogether. Sure enough, in less than a minute I had the handle snapped into place and the batteries (included!) installed. As my floor can pretty much always use a deep clean, I opted to start with the Steam & Spray mop head and quickly popped it into place.

All that was left to do was attach a cleaning pad (either the multi-layer washable cleaning pad to lift and lock away tough messes or the SaniFiber disposable pad that is great for germy messes), fill the water tank using the handy flask provided, and insert the cleanser bottle right into the front.

Basically with no work at all I had this innovative machine powered up and ready to go! 

Putting this unique steam mop to work was just as easy. As the entire thing is lightweight and has a 20ft power cord it can be lifted and carried with one hand to nearly any part of the house — someone like me just needs to decide which floor is in most dire need of cleaning.

Then simply plug it in and, due to the Automatic Electronic Steam Control, there is no need to adjust any dials or knobs to try to get the correct amount of wetness onto your floor. Shark takes care of it all for you and the Steam & Spray Pro starts the steam when you release the head back and stops it when you stand it back up. Easy peasy!

When using the steam only function, this incredible mop deep cleans wood and hard floors with ordinary tap water that then cleans 99.9% of household bacteria.

Just the knowledge that it doesn't take any more effort on my part to deep clean and sanitize all of the hard floor surfaces we have in the house gives me peace of mind, particularly as we seem to have illnesses around here no matter if it is cold and flu season or not.

For bigger messes and to remove tough dirt, the Steam & Spray function combines the steam with Shark's powerful, biodegradable Hard Floor Cleanser for a higher level of cleaning.
