Organize or Volunteer for an Event with Ease with VolunteerSpot {#SignUpSpot}

This post is part of a sponsored campaign for VolunteerSpot, however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are completely honest and my own.

When it comes to volunteering our time, the general consensus is that we would all like to do more of it.

But why does it seem like oftentimes the hassle and work of signing up or organizing an event can leave just about everyone involved frustrated? The endless Reply All's that fill up your inbox; calendar and email reminders that continue to ding; and, for the person in charge, continually having to answer individual questions over and over.

In short, organizing anything from a large fundraiser to a classroom snack sign-up to a PTO volunteer event can quickly turn into a full workload and a turnoff for anyone thinking of taking on the job.

However, these days instead of choosing to not be a part of your next school or community activity, the whole volunteer process can actually be much more convenient and manageable thanks to VolunteerSpot!

VolunteerSpot

On a mission to make volunteer coordination and volunteering as simple as possible, VolunteerSpot aims to help people save time and money with their one-stop-shop for all scheduling and fundraising needs. Whether you are the organizer or the volunteer, everyone has access to the project calendar to easily see what tasks need to be done. No stress, no jumbled communication, just the tools needed for people to work together!

And did I mention that VolunteerSpot is completely free? It really couldn't be much easier!

VolunteerSpot steps

Organizers begin by visiting VolunteerSpot.com (available online as well as on mobile) and creating a free account with just their name and email address — no software to download or complicated technology to install.

From there you are ready to reach out for volunteers! Your free VolunteerSpot account includes unlimited online sign up sheets and calendars, an event planning wizard, automated email reminders, smartphone sign up and electronic calendar sync for volunteers, the ability to export activity data, and much more (there is also a paid, premium service available to people planning very large events).

Just put in the facts about your event (e.g. date, time, location) and make a list of the tasks that need to be done, the supplies needed, and more. Once your calendar is ready, it can be sent out to prospective volunteers by entering email addresses into the planning wizard, by sending the direct link through email or by placing a signup button on a website.

Everyone who is interested just clicks on the link and is brought directly to your VolunteerSpot calendar to see the details clearly laid out!

Soccer Snack Sign-Up

Volunteers have the option of signing up for an account themselves or simply giving enough information to respond to your event invitation. Either way, when looking at the calendar, it is a snap for anyone (technologically challenged or not) to click on available days and tasks and sign up for one or more open spots of their choosing.

No more wondering if there will be cups brought to the Halloween party, what times are available for the upcoming Parent/Teacher conferences, who will bring snack to the next Soccer game, if there are enough helpers to have the fall carnival run smoothly, and more!

Fall Party Sign-Up

When it comes to planning an event, VolunteerSpot is the perfect way to save yourself time and stress! All of the information stays in one place (cutting down on repetitive questions) and volunteers are able to select their own assignments, greatly increasing their interest and availability.

Not to mention that the whole process is so quick and easy that more potential volunteers will sign up solely because the steps aren't repetitive and disorganized. If helping is easy, you are more likely to have more people want to help out!

Charity Race Sign-Up

This fall and beyond, let VolunteerSpot make volunteering and managing events easier for your events, big or small. In the classroom, within your neighborhood, among church members, for school fundraisers or for any of your volunteer needs, this FREE system can help your day run as smoothly as possible.

Skip the endless emails or old school phone trees and let VolunteerSpot do the work of bringing the helpers! Find out much more about the quickest and most simple way to recruit volunteers for your next occasion by visiting VolunteerSpot.com and connecting with them on Facebook and Twitter today.

That looks like a very handy program/app. My main volunteer org has a good, easy interface to sign up for shifts.

I volunteer usually once a week (more in the summer at the gardens). Volunteering is so important for me to do.

I admit to being a volunteer-aholic. I have 3 or 4 organizations that I volunteer with. Giving back is very important to me.
