Lose weight with Sensa: Beginning my journey (and coupon code!)

Type "How many diets fail" into any search engine and in seconds you will be shown millions of results.

Even though there is quite a bit of argument if there is an exact percentage, what it all boils down to is this: diets fail because people don't make changes in their lifestyle. We continue to eat large portions and don't exercise and wonder why the pounds don't instantly disappear the moment we take the latest pill or believe in the newest fad.

I'm not criticizing here. In fact, the past few lines are a pretty fair description of most of my adult life.

I was fairly athletic as a child (and clearly cute, as shown at right) and throughout high school, even managing to keep up with working out the first year of college or so. But after that, things began to slow down and exercising didn't fit into my schedule as well... and years later I was married and working all day, so my spare time was devoted to other things.

With both of my pregnancies I gained a LOT of weight (which wasn't entirely my fault, though. Big Sister E weighed 10 pounds 5 ounces at birth and Little Sister B wasn't far behind at 9 pounds 14 ounces), but I was fortunate in that nursing pulled the weight back off after both of them. However, when that ended, there seemed to be a mysterious 10 - 15 pounds that reappeared and has stuck around.

The culprit? My lack of willpower. I just can't seem to stop myself from eating things when they're anywhere within reach. My portions are too big and my ability to stop when there is still food on my plate is pretty much non-existent. I'm not the only one, right?

So when I went looking for a way to help shed the extra pounds, I needed something different. Something out-of-the-ordinary, non-pills, non-starve-yourself-diet (those last about an hour for me anyway, because then I just give in and eat). And I found Sensa.

So, what is this unique and innovative way to lose weight and how is it going to work for someone like me who typically gives up or cheats on diets? Actually, Sensa isn't a diet at all. It is a pocket-sized container of Tastants, tiny sprinkles that resemble salt, designed to work with your sense of smell to curb your appetite. All you have to do is sprinkle them on your food, any food, before you eat it.

No, these aren't chemicals that you're putting on your food, Sensa is sodium-free, sugar-free, calorie free, gluten-free and there are no stimulants, drugs or MSG. And no, it doesn't smell bad to make you not want to eat (I can actually barely smell it and, when I do catch a tiny whiff, it actually has quite a nice scent).

Quite simply, while you are eating, messages are being sent to your brain detecting whether or not you are full. All Sensa does is just speed up those messages to trigger the feeling of being full sooner (called Sensory Specific Satiety), resulting in less eating while still being satisfied.

There are six months in the Sensa weight-loss system and I began using it two weeks ago. Over the upcoming months I will be filling you in on much, much more about Sensa, how it works (with clinical proof), a few of the thousands of success stories from people that have tried and loved the program and if my husband ever stops being skeptical that this can actually work.

If you're inclined to want to join me on this journey, how about a discount? Use the coupon code SEN15 to save 15% off of your order of Sensa and get started on this revolutionary system for yourself. If I can handle simply sprinkling Sensa on everything I eat, then anyone can.

Now, how about some initial numbers to see how I'm doing so far?

Starting weight: Too much.
Week 1: -2.5 lbs
Week 2: -1 lb

I definitely did better remembering to sprinkle the first week, so I wasn't surprised to see a smaller number this week. All in all, though: so far, so good. I can't wait to see where I'll be in six months!

(Sensa has provided me with a supply of their product for my own personal review and I have not been compensated in any way. Results may vary, of course, and this is just my opinion of this innovative weight-loss program)

Congrats on the weight loss so far. I've never heard of sensa, and I'll be interested in reading your posts about it. Just yesterday I posted about wanting to lose weight. I can't get rid of these last few lbs on me no matter what I try. But then again, I have no will power.

Happy Friday Follow / following you. I don't know if I should've put this in your first post, but this post is the one that interested me. I was thinking of trying Sensa myself, but I just didn't think it would work. Guess I'll be sticking around to see what you have to say about it. I'll be back. Hope you find time to follow me too.

I just started using Sensa last week. I'm blogging about my progress at sensajourney.com. I hope to lose about 40 pounds in six months.
