meSheeky Apparel for Active Lifestyles {Review}

meSheeky logoConfession time: I have a thing about jeans.

I like them because, after all, they're jeans. They go with everything, they are appropriate for nearly everywhere that my daily life takes me, they're classic. They're jeans.

But my issue lies in the fact that no matter how comfortable or these are my favorite pair ever they seem to be, I don't want to sit around the house in them. Therefore, whenever we're out and return home, it doesn't take me more than a minute or two to head to the bedroom to change out of my jeans.

My husband may make fun of me, but I prefer the idea that I'm just being practical.

But as much as I would like to just walk around all day in the comfort of my yoga pants, they don't necessarily give off the look that I want to portray on a day-to-day basis (e.g. spandex tight to my rear end). What's a gal to do?

The answer is to continue to look stylish while also flattering your figure and staying extremely comfortable with the unique activewear found from meSheeky.

Having debuted in the fall of 2009, meSheeky is a lifestyle brand combining premium quality, modern fits, fresh styling and a sharp attention to detail. They don't just want their apparel to be another set of exercise clothes that only belong in the gym, they want wearers to go from the yoga studio to the street in an effortless, fashionable, personality-filled way.

Who can argue with that?

I love the idea of the meSheeky skirts, as they can be thrown on and worn during exercise or before leaving the gym or studio to turn your athletic wear into an everyday, chic outfit...

...and the meSheeky pants manage to combine a fresh, flirty, fun design with the practicality and quality necessary for a good workout.

Wanting to branch out a little bit from my traditional (i.e. somewhat generic) exercise gear and try a piece that I would be able to wear for working out as well as everyday, I was thrilled when meSheeky's Trixie halter arrived and immediately added style to my wardrobe.

Available in eight great colors that range from neutral to bright, I was happy with my choice of Slate and the way that the warm grey would coordinate with just about any other color in my closet. Right away I found myself running my hands over the 85% cotton/15% spandex mix and marveling at just how soft and stretchy it was.

What had initially drawn me to the Trixie top was the addition of the extra details that meSheeky had included: the side-tie halter on the front and the touch of ruching down the middle of the back.

Not only do both of these additions add a unique, feminine, flattering appearance, the side-tie is just the thing to ensure that you can adjust the top for the fit and coverage that you desire. I have often had a difficult time finding a tank top with a built-in shelf bra that has enough support, so being able to pull the tie a little shorter proved to be just the feature that I needed.

While the weather is too chilly for sleeveless tops at the moment, the Trixie halter has been great for exercising and, with a sweater or cardigan thrown on top, can go right out to the store or to lunch. Once summer does arrive around here, I have no doubt that I'll throw this on with shorts and be ready to go play with my kids at the park with no problem!

Whether you are an avid yogi and looking for the apparel that is going to let you concentrate on your breathing and positions, an exercise enthusiast who wants items that can be layered for heading out to run errands after the gym, or just a mom who likes to be comfortable while looking good, MeSheeky styles are flattering, stylish, and fun for women of all ages.

The price tags on these items are a bit higher than what you might find elsewhere (the Trixie halter retails for $58), but if you take quality, performance and versatility seriously, then meSheeky is the place for you. Visit their website to see their full line of apparel and accessories and be sure to connect with them on Facebook and Twitter so that you keep up to date on the latest and greatest from this innovative company.

(Other than the Trixie halter that I was sent from meSheeky, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this review in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this company and their high quality products.)
