Cheryl's Cookies For The Cure Campaign {Review & Giveaway}

{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, Elaine!}

October is already a great month for me for multiple reasons (Big Sister E's birthday and my mom's birthday, to start) but I also think it's important and amazing that it is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With millions of Americans affected by this disease, it's about darn time a cure was found, right?

I have hopes that at some point in my lifetime that will happen - and when it does, what an incredible accomplishment that will be for mankind.

So, the fact that there are companies out there that are willing to help such a worthy cause and donate some of their proceeds in order to help further the research being done, well, it just makes you want to applaud them for helping us all. Plus, when they make it SO tasty and delicious to take part in their efforts, who can pass that up? But really, with the gourmet flavor of Cheryl's desserts and their generous "Cookies for the Cure" campaign, why would you want to?

Throughout the month of October, Cheryl's "Cookies for the Cure" campaign will donate 10% of the proceeds from the sales of the Buttercream Frosted Heart Shaped Cookies (and a few other delicious treats) to the Susan G. Komen foundation. These handcrafted cookies are topped with pink buttercream frosting and are the perfect gift to satisfy any sweet tooth while still working towards a cause that everyone can support.

And, let me tell you, your sweet tooth will be extremely happy about these cookies, they're just that good. More than a simple plain cookie with a sugary topping like the desserts that are found in the store, these adorable heart shaped cookies come individually wrapped for the utmost in freshness and almost melt in your mouth from the moment you take the first bite.

I am actually typically not a fan of frosting or of cookies that aren't chocolate, so I assumed that I would take a little taste of Cheryl's Buttercream Frosted Heart Shaped Cookies and then pass them over to the two taste-testers that were clamoring for their own.

However, I have to admit, that one bite just wasn't enough. Even though we had waited a few days to open these cookies, they tasted as if they were baked fresh earlier that morning. Thick and soft, they melt in your mouth with just the right amount of sweetness and flavor that I couldn't help but attempt to break off a little more for myself as I handed Big Sister E her cookie.

The look on Big Sister E's face is her, "Why are you eating MY cookie, Mommy?" that I caught in mid-speak. Little Sister B's face, on the other hand, sums up how you will feel when you bite into Cheryl's desserts.

On a mission to be the best gourmet food and gift company around, Cheryl's completely backs up their products with a guarantee of excellence to provide only the highest quality and most delicious desserts around. Combine that with their wonderful "Cookies for the Cure" campaign to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure's promise to save lives and end breast cancer and there is no reason to send a gift from anywhere else this October (and the rest of the year, as well).

Plus, thanks to their generosity, one person will get to experience the beautiful packaging and delicious variety of desserts from Cheryl's with their buttercream frosted heart shaped cookies, fudge brownies layered with buttercream frosting and an assortment of chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and sugar cookies (let me just pause for a moment to say YUM!), because...
