Angelina Ballerina: Sweet Valentine DVD {Review}

Angelina Ballerina logoWith two girls in the house, there aren't too many days that go by where we aren't in some stage of dress-up fun. From safari gear to trek through an imaginary jungle to work gear to construct a tall tower to tutus and tiaras to perform in a sold-out show, we do it all.

But out of all of the outfits that go on and off, one of the ones that my kids continue to return to is the sparkle and the poof of the ballerina. There is just an special level of magic and joy that comes with twirling, leaping, spinning and attempting to gracefully transform into a dancer.

What could be better? Getting to perform right alongside one of their favorite cute mouse characters, Angelina Ballerina. And when you combine her with the upcoming holiday celebrating love, that means that Angelina Ballerina: Sweet Valentine is sure to be a hit.

Angelina Ballerina Sweet ValentineLove and friendship take center stage in this collection of five sweet stories. Angelina uncovers the mystery of her secret admirer with some help from her friends while Angelina and Alice help Marco realize the true importance of helping others.

Next, the students celebrate Ms. Mimi, and although it may have been for the wrong reason, they do it with a lot of heart! And when Angelina and her girlfriends try to make a girls' club, they realize a friendship club is much sweeter. Episodes include:
  • Angelina's Secret Valentine
  • Angelina and the Hearts on Ice
  • Angelina's Big News
  • Angelina and the Mouslinghood of Dancing
  • Angelina and the Laughing Poet
Camembert Academy's shining star of dance, Angelina Ballerina and her sparkling stories about dancing and performance, family, friendship and following her dreams continue to be a great way to spread the love with dancing, skating, singing and best friends forever.

Angelina BallerinaAngelina Ballerina is always a show that I’m happy for my kids to watch, and Angelina Ballerina: Sweet Valentine was no exception. As well as the Valentine's Day topics each episode covered, this 61-minute DVD did a great job of demonstrating the characters' imagination, determination, friendship, inclusion, hard work and their ability to learn from their mistakes.

Anytime that my kids can enjoy sharing in Angelina's adventures and experiences and have liked the story, had fun dancing along, and even hopefully have gotten a little more inspired to pursue their own big dreams... well, that's a winning combination for me. What a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day!

Angelina BallerinaAvailable now from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand, Angelina Ballerina: Sweet Valentine has a retail price of $14.98 but can be found on Amazon for $11.99 (with free shipping).

If you have a young dancer in your house and are looking for a fun and unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day, this DVD would be a great addition to your home library. Find out more about Angelina Ballerina at AngelinaBallerina.com and on Facebook.

(Other than the DVD copy of Angelina Ballerina: Sweet Valentine that I received from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this post in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this DVD.)

I'll definitely have to check this out. Zoe adores Angelina Ballerina. It's one of her favorite shows ever to turn on Netflix!
