There are often times when I feel like I just don't understand boys.
Not having any sons of my own, I don't think I have had the chance to figure out why hitting rocks with sticks or constantly digging in the dirt or nonstop wrestling is fun. Maybe I'm missing out?
On the other hand, life around here is all things girl. And although at times my husband might cringe at the pink and the princesses, the kids and I get a little giddy when we discover something new that is bright and cute and undoubtedly feminine.
Recently, that has been fully embodied in the eye-catching designs and great styling of Apparel Dynasty.
Known for being vivid and whimsical, the work of Mary Winkler (aka Acrylicana) is often child-like in theme, depicting sweets, fanciful creatures and rainbows as well as exploring the world of fashion and garment in illustrated form. Done in a variety of media, including digital, acrylic, watercolor and ink, Mary's work is pop art and graphic, immediately making you want to stop and take a closer look.
Now manufactured into a variety of products and involved in projects from fashion to toys, as soon as I saw the Harmony Pull Along Luggage, I knew that it would be just the thing for Big Sister E and our upcoming vacation.
What a great piece of luggage! I have to admit, when the Harmony Luggage, Welcome to the Disco Makeup Bag and two delicious-smelling pairs of Scented Shoelaces arrived from Apparel Dynasty, I was a little sad that none of it was for me.
Measuring in at 20" x 14" x 9," the Harmony Pull Along Luggage combines form and function with more style and fun than any other rolling bag I've ever seen. Covered with Acrylicana's signature Harmony print in a variety of bright green, yellow, turquoise and more and accented with pink synthetic leather and handles, I could almost hear it screaming Girl! from the moment it was out of the box.
As a bag, the Harmony Luggage is extremely lightweight, which I appreciate. Considering that my own hands will surely be full in the airport and getting on and off of the plane, Big Sister E needs to be able to pick up and carry her own bag when we travel (or just when going to Grandma's house).
However, what good piece of luggage doesn't have wheels these days? Simply unzip the convenient zippered pocked at one end and the extending handle can be easily be pulled right out for quick use.
With such sturdy wheels and the easy-to-hold handle, my little traveler is ready to jet off on vacation without worry!
And even though Big Sister E is too young for makeup quite yet, the 8.5" x 6.5" x 3" size of the Welcome to the Disco Makeup Bag is great for a toiletry bag for her for now and will hold her toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, clips, and more when packing. Or, while at home, I already know that I'm going to find all sorts of her small prized possessions hiding out in this adorable little bag!
As well as looking forward to our travel experience with Apparel Dynasty's great luggage items, we've been enjoying the attention-grabbing and unique aspects of their great Scented Shoelaces as well.
With products including Bacon and Eggs, Fortune Cookies, Ice Cream Cones, Pickles, Pizza and many more, these child-friendly, non-toxic shoelaces are the innovative and fun way to turn regular shoelaces into something so much more.
As well as wearing them in shoes, kids can wear them as bracelets, as ribbons on ponytails, on backpacks and much more... and they're just too fun (and smell too good) for only shoes!
From bags to shoes to posters to shoelaces, Acrylicana has bright, fun collections for girls of all ages at ApparelDynasty.com and ScentedShoelaces.com. Perfect for gifts and stocking stuffers, you're sure to bring a smile to nearly any girl's face (young or old) this holiday season.
