FRAAS Stylish Scarves for Spring and Summer {Review}

 FRAAS logo
While I never know which of the latest fashion trends and fads are going to be "in" for an upcoming season (sweatpants? Pajamas? If it's PJs, I'm going to be so hip!), one chic style that I've embraced as a part of my own wardrobe is the posh look that comes with a novelty scarf.

Being able to drape or tie a scarf as a finishing touch to an outfit just has the ability to give it a polished, put-together look with ease, no matter if it's paired with jeans and a t-shirt or slacks and a cardigan.

And one collection that continues to be on-target with the trends is the luxurious line up of versatile options from FRAAS in their Spring 2013 collection.

FRAAS spring scarves

Ever since its foundation in 1880 by Valentin Fraas, FRAAS has thrived, advanced and expanded at a rapid pace due to continuously implementing new ideas and concepts.

While design teams travel the globe to identify new trends and develop products that are perfectly attuned to fashion and customer demand, the company's research team works unceasingly to develop and discover new yarns, fabric and methods of manufacturing products that are of truly outstanding quality.

For the upcoming Spring-Summer 2013, FRAAS has formed their collection to follow three stories: Mystical Coast, East Meets West and Jungle Fever.

East Meets West presents modernity meeting tradition and Jungle Fever is a lively, hot summer story encompassing the plant life of the jungle and the vivid creatures that occupy it, both of which sound fashionably fun to me.

But when the Mystical Waters scarf from the Mystical Coast line arrived, I knew that it would be just the right addition to my closet.

The Mystical Coast story incorporates an opulent, iridescent, natural composite for prints and deluxe, yet gentle detailing. This oversize, vibrant style (available in turquoise and coral options) measures in at 40" x 72" making it a versatile option that can be worn as a scarf as well as a wrap.

As I pulled this scarf out of the package, I was immediately attracted to the variety of colors that it included as well as the extremely soft feel of the fabric.

FRAAS scarf review

Comprised of 100% viscose, this scarf is super soft and extremely lightweight, making it a great item for warmer seasons. Right away I loved the way that the fabric drapes smoothly and easily...

...and that the raw, frayed edges gives it a casual, yet stylish finish.

While I'm not one to typically wear shawls, the Mystical Waters scarf is definitely big enough that it would be able to provide plenty of coverage over a sleeveless or strapless dress.

I can see bringing this along to warm-weather gatherings or weddings to be able to pull out when the sun goes down or the air conditioning is a little high.

Whether easily looped around your neck, laid out across your shoulders, or tied and styled in any number of creative ways, I love that this scarf works with day or evening looks and that the flattering palette of colors brings a bright touch to your look.

No matter if you are looking to dress up your outerwear, t-shirt, dress or blouse, the Mystical Waters scarf has the ability to give a fashionable finishing touch that is sure to turn heads.

Whether pulled on to go have coffee with friends, to bring my girls to the library or packed in a bag for travel, the FRAAS Mystical Waters scarf has proven to be one item that will never go out of fashion and will be great for spring and summer. Available for purchase by calling the company at 212-575-0191, this scarf retails for $48.

This spring, don't spend a fortune trying to renew or revamp your wardrobe. Instead, visit FRAAS on their website (as well as on Facebook), to select your favorite way to stylishly accessorize what you currently own. You can also find FRAAS products worldwide in department and specialty stores as well as online retailers and from Amazon.com.

(Other than the Mystical Waters scarf that I was provided by FRAAS to facilitate my review, I was not compensated or enticed or to do this review in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of this company and their products.)

That looks so cute on you. I don't wear these because of my hair, but my mom LOVES scarves. I should look and see if I can find one of these for her.
