Celebrate Valentine's Day with Cardstore.com

I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Cardstore.com. I received complimentary cards and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

If you've somehow been in denial and haven't realized that Valentine's Day is coming up fast, let this be your wake-up call: February is here! And that not only means that there aren't that many days left to still make a restaurant reservation, it also means that the time left to create a personalized, heartfelt gift or card for your loved one(s) is quickly decreasing.

Even though most of us have the best intentions to take the time to create a card that is just as special as our honey (and get it ordered with plenty of time to spare)... that doesn't always end up happening.

Fortunately, there are great sites that give you the ability to create and design a custom, personalized card and have it delivered to your door with time to spare. No stopping at the drugstore on your way home from work to get something generic at the last minute when now is the time to visit Cardstore.com!

Valentine's Day cards

Offering customizable (and adorable) cards, invitations, stationary and much more for every occasion, Cardstore.com makes it quick and easy to create a personalized way to tell those close to you that you love them. Gifts and flowers are wonderful, but is there anything more heartfelt than a truly meaningful card?

For me, I always make an attempt to find just the right balance between sentimental and humorous and I love that Cardstore.com has made their theme this year "It's Okay To Cry." Instead of worrying about being corny, let's all embrace the emotions that come along with powerful messages of love!

In fact, Joseph Joyce, Creative Director for Cardstore.com, offers many great tips for writing heartfelt cards that just might tug at your recipient's heartstrings:
  • Take your time — start early to reduce stress and browse all of the wonderful options online to get your creative juices flowing.
  • Be yourself — just be honest and say what you feel!
  • Incorporate photography — tuck a printed photo inside the card or design your card online with your personal photos.
  • Personalize — remember, a card is more than just a piece of paper. It tells the recipient how you truly feel and, with the right touches, will inspire tears of joy, laughter and love.
Keeping these tips in mind, I headed over to Cardstore.com and was immediately happy that they made it so easy to narrow down their large selection of Valentine's Day cards. Romantic, funny, religious, flirty... for him, for her, for kids, for grandma, for teacher... whether you want your valentines to be sexy, silly, or sweet, they've got options to make everyone's heart happy!

While I found quite a few cards that would bring a smile to my girls' faces, once I saw Valentine's Day Puppy, I knew that I had the winner.

Their user-friendly interface made it extremely easy to switch from the front to the inside to the back...

...and I adore that I was able to add in both girls' names and my own personal message to tell them how much I love them.

I also had the option to change the inner layout to include text and/or photo(s) on the left side, but I chose to leave it blank and plan on placing a few sheets of Valentine's Day stickers there before giving this to the kids.

A few more clicks and a confirmation that the front, inside and back were just how I wanted them and I had my card ordered and on its way.

As for my husband, it took me a little longer to find the perfect card for him (and even longer deciding what to write on the inside), but I finally settled on Husband Big Spoon and can't wait to see his reaction.
