Celebrate Valentine's Day with Cardstore.com

Cardstore.com logo
I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Cardstore.com. I received complimentary cards and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

If you've somehow been in denial and haven't realized that Valentine's Day is coming up fast, let this be your wake-up call: February is here! And that not only means that there aren't that many days left to still make a restaurant reservation, it also means that the time left to create a personalized, heartfelt gift or card for your loved one(s) is quickly decreasing.

Even though most of us have the best intentions to take the time to create a card that is just as special as our honey (and get it ordered with plenty of time to spare)... that doesn't always end up happening.

Fortunately, there are great sites that give you the ability to create and design a custom, personalized card and have it delivered to your door with time to spare. No stopping at the drugstore on your way home from work to get something generic at the last minute when now is the time to visit Cardstore.com!

Valentine's Day cards

Offering customizable (and adorable) cards, invitations, stationary and much more for every occasion, Cardstore.com makes it quick and easy to create a personalized way to tell those close to you that you love them. Gifts and flowers are wonderful, but is there anything more heartfelt than a truly meaningful card?

For me, I always make an attempt to find just the right balance between sentimental and humorous and I love that Cardstore.com has made their theme this year "It's Okay To Cry." Instead of worrying about being corny, let's all embrace the emotions that come along with powerful messages of love!

In fact, Joseph Joyce, Creative Director for Cardstore.com, offers many great tips for writing heartfelt cards that just might tug at your recipient's heartstrings:
  • Take your time — start early to reduce stress and browse all of the wonderful options online to get your creative juices flowing.
  • Be yourself — just be honest and say what you feel!
  • Incorporate photography — tuck a printed photo inside the card or design your card online with your personal photos.
  • Personalize — remember, a card is more than just a piece of paper. It tells the recipient how you truly feel and, with the right touches, will inspire tears of joy, laughter and love.
Keeping these tips in mind, I headed over to Cardstore.com and was immediately happy that they made it so easy to narrow down their large selection of Valentine's Day cards. Romantic, funny, religious, flirty... for him, for her, for kids, for grandma, for teacher... whether you want your valentines to be sexy, silly, or sweet, they've got options to make everyone's heart happy!

While I found quite a few cards that would bring a smile to my girls' faces, once I saw Valentine's Day Puppy, I knew that I had the winner.

Their user-friendly interface made it extremely easy to switch from the front to the inside to the back...

Cardstore puppy card

...and I adore that I was able to add in both girls' names and my own personal message to tell them how much I love them.

personalized card

I also had the option to change the inner layout to include text and/or photo(s) on the left side, but I chose to leave it blank and plan on placing a few sheets of Valentine's Day stickers there before giving this to the kids.

A few more clicks and a confirmation that the front, inside and back were just how I wanted them and I had my card ordered and on its way.

As for my husband, it took me a little longer to find the perfect card for him (and even longer deciding what to write on the inside), but I finally settled on Husband Big Spoon and can't wait to see his reaction.

Don't let another Valentine's Day come and go without showing the people in your life just how much they mean to you! Head over to Cardstore.com today and create your own customized Valentine's Day cards... but remember that orders must be placed by February 6th in order for them to arrive in time for the holiday!

Holiday Cards 2013 from Tiny Prints {Quick $50 Gift Certificate Giveaway!}

Tiny Prints logo
If you're anything like me, you're in denial that October is nearly over and, in essence, 2013 isn't far from ending as well.

Wasn't it just April? And what happened to June? August? There must have been something of note in August... how is it that the holidays are now just right around the corner?

That not only means that there aren't that many shopping days left, it also means that in order for holiday cards to be tucked into their envelopes, sealed, stamped and ready to send out, they need to be ordered soon.

In the past I found myself procrastinating and ordering our cards at the last minute, something that would end up consistently stressful and displeasing. But then I realized that life would be much easier if I didn't waste time or effort looking at various sites and less-then-stellar designs when I could just go with the amazing selection and quality that I've come to love and appreciate from Tiny Prints.

holiday photo cards

Even though I've seen (and sent) a variety of other holiday cards over the years, there is just something about Tiny Prints that has remained unmatched when it comes to style and overall impression. From traditional colors and embellishments to merry and bright colors that take on a modern feel, there is something about the way that that each one grabs your attention and celebrates the season in its own way.

New for 2013, there are even more styles to choose from – Contemporary, Classic, Vintage, Full bleed photos, All That Glitters, Bold Expressions, Simply Chic, Woodland Wonder and The New Tradition... it almost pains me to try to choose a single favorite!

Tiny Prints Trim OptionsNot to mention that along with the incredible designs, Tiny Prints has added new trim options for 2013 as well. Their square and rounded edges are back (I've always been a sucker for the rounded edges!) but now there are also bracket, ticket and scallop trim options as well.

How do I chooooooose, Tiny Prints? You're making this really difficult!

However, if I truly had to pick my top five favorites, I'd have to say...

1. Joyous Heart: White Flat Holiday Photo Cards.

There's something about the simplicity of the single "joy" and the cute polka-dot back that I love about this card (as well as the rounded corners, of course). Plus, the ability to showcase three photos takes away the pressure of having one single awesome shot of the entire family!

2. May They Sparkle Red Lantern Flat Holiday Photo Cards.

This card mixes the simplicity that I like with the eye-catching background pattern that I adore. Plus, who doesn't want to share a little sparkle with their friends and family?

Christmas cards

3. Distinctly Happy Ore Flat Holiday Photo Cards.

This card has lots of clean lines that I like, while it also gives me even more options to include photos... when are there ever too many pictures of my kids all in one place?

multiple photos holiday card

4. Geometric Joy: Gibraltar Flat Holiday Photo Cards.

I have a feeling that my husband wouldn't be a big fan of this card, but there's something about the pattern and the saturation of the colors that catches my eye and makes me think that it would stand out from others in a display!

5. Cherished Days Reef Flat Holiday Photo Cards.

How cute is this? I love the lighthearted whimsy and the way that it almost looks as though the border and letters were drawn on by hand.

Once the decision-making process is complete, I love knowing that whichever card I pick is going to turn out great simply because it will be from Tiny Prints. They haven't let me down once in the past and I have no doubt that they'll continue to impress me in the future!

With exclusive designs from the nation's top designers, easy card personalization, a powerful preview engine, top-notch customer service, wonderful paper quality, matching address labels and envelope liners, and more, it's no wonder Tiny Prints' designs have been lauded by numerous television networks, publications, celebrities and more. And don't even get me started on their stylish photo gifts that are great for so many people on your list!

Celebrate Your Graduate with Tiny Prints {$50 Gift Certificate Giveaway}

Tiny Prints logo
In the same way that, for instance, when you see someone every day it is more difficult to notice small changes in their hair or weight, I'm often baffled when I look at past photos of my daughters and realize how much they've grown.

When did someone replace my babies with these full-fledged kids?

To further drive the point home (and break my heart) this spring we will celebrate Big Sister E's graduation from kindergarten. While it's not as though she is graduating high school and going away to college or anything, it's still yet another occasion to show that she is no longer my little girl. Who taught this kid to read and write and be independent?

Plus, why do I feel like it's not going to be all that long before I'll be (crying and) holding up another photo of her in a cap and gown... except that they'll actually fit?

graduation

However, no matter how much I'll be holding back the tears this year and at future graduations, I'll also want to celebrate the accomplishments and recognize the work that both of my girls have put into their schooling over the years.

After all, one of the important aspects of graduation that goes along with donning a cap and gown and accepting a diploma has to be sharing the good news with family and friends, right?

So, when your child is preparing to graduate, whether from preschool, kindergarten, high school or college, it is easy to help them share their pride with the world by turning to TinyPrints.com for all of your graduation announcements, invitations and gifts.

Tiny Prints

It is no secret that I have been a dedicated fan of Tiny Prints for many years, as this premium online stationary brand has never once let me down with beautiful, trend-forward designs, quality you can feel, and an overall look you send out with pride.

When it comes to graduation announcements and invitations, Tiny Prints has a huge selection of styles, colors, formats, sizes and more, making it easy to pick out just the right design that matches your grad's unique personality.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with photo graduation announcements, because what better way to show off the happy celebrant than with a picture? I really love the way that Tiny Prints has such a wide variety of options, from including a single favorite image to a series of them to a collection that shows changes throughout the years.

graduation announcements

The colors of each announcement are so bright and vivid and really, the possibilities are endless when it comes to finding just the right one for your graduate. Whether you are interested in elaborate and creative or simple and straightforward, the hardest part of shopping at Tiny Prints has always been deciding on a favorite.

But Tiny Prints doesn't just offer the cutest selection of graduation announcements, they also offer a whole slew of graduation gifts so that you can provide the graduates in your life with just what they'll need for their next step in life.

graduation gifts

Notepads, mugs, iPhone cases, notebooks, personal stationery, wall art, planners, self-inking stamps... Tiny Prints makes it quick and easy to select, customize and give just about any great present that you might desire. Who doesn't love the gift of personalization, organization, nostalgic memories and more?

Whether you have an upcoming graduation to celebrate this spring within your family or not, you'll want to head over to Tiny Prints to see all of their amazing announcements, invitations, gifts and more available in exclusive designs from the nation's top designers. No matter what the occasion, they'll help you celebrate it in a special, stylish way!

Plus, thanks to their generosity, one person will be prepared to bring home their choice of stationary, cards, gifts or more from Tiny Prints, because...

One lucky person will win a $50 gift certificate* to Tiny Prints!

PJ Greetings Launches an At Home Sales Program {Custom Stamp Giveaway}

PJ Greetings logo
Even though I think that we get a little extra joy out of sending and receiving mail around here, I know that we're not alone in feeling that tiny burst of excitement when we open the mailbox, wondering what might be waiting inside.

Along the same lines, every part of the sealing, addressing and stamping process when sending out letters makes me happy. The only part that doesn't? Writing our return address. There's just something that feels extremely tedious about writing my address on envelopes and I never seem to like the return address labels that I've printed or have made in the past... that just run out anyway.

Instead, it's much easier to bring the joy back to mailing letters, cards and even bills, thanks to PJ Greetings and their Custom Ink Stamps.

custom stamps

Carrying stylish products such as invitations, notecards, stamps, platters, tumblers, coasters, phone cases and more, PJ Greetings offers personalized products for just about every aspect of your life. Whether you prefer simple, straight lines or unique, personality-filled patterns, PJ Greetings strives to make each of their items more than just customized, they make them personal.

So what better way to show your friends and family how much you appreciate them than with a thoughtful, beautiful, useful gift?

Well, instead of sharing just a single item with them, you can now share the complete wonder and style of the PJ Greetings collection by joining the team and becoming an At Home Partner.

PJ Greetings at home

That's right, after creating and selling customized products since 1999, PJ Greetings is opening up the opportunity to join them in their high level of customer service and sales of quality products.

If you're thinking that you would never know where to even begin being a part of an At Home sales program, there is no need to worry. PJ Greetings provides all of the support, training and marketing materials that you need to maximize your sales potential. You'll even have your own At Home Partner website, a sales territory without other At Home Partners within several miles of your location, and continued access to new PJ Greetings designs as they debut.

As well as having the chance to be a part of this great company, being a PJ Greetings At Home Partner can provide compensation in multiple ways. With a 20% commission on all retail sales, you're able to sell through home parties, online parties or direct individual customers ordering online. They believe that Partners can generate three $500 parties on average each month, earning a minimum of $300-$500 working 6-8 hours!

At the same time, Partners are able to build a sales team (and earn a percentage of their revenue) as well as earning MyReward Points each month for additional purchasing power at PJ Greetings.

Essentially, the opportunities are endless! Of course, as in any home business, it takes effort and commitment to be successful. But considering that PJ Greetings wants each At Home Partner to be as successful as possible, there is no doubt that they will do all that they can to support you and help you succeed.

at home party

You can find out much more about becoming a PJ Greetings At Home Partner (they are currently looking for Partners all over the country!) and if this opportunity is a good fit for you at PJGreetingsAtHome.com. Plus, be sure to check out their huge selection of stylish products that would make great gifts for any number of occasions - bridal, baby, teacher, birthday, holidays... or just because at PJGreetings.com!

And, thanks to the generosity of PJ Greetings, one person will get to experience just how much easier it is to love sending out their mail, because...

Tiny Prints 2012 Holiday Collection {$50 Gift Certificate Giveaway}

Tiny Prints logoStrolling through one of our favorite big box stores recently, Big Sister E and I were chuckling over the Halloween decorations — oohing at the mini sparkly skulls, giggling over the decorated plastic pumpkins, and marveling at the creativity in some of the new costumes.

Turning the corner, however, I truly gasped.

Christmas lights? Holiday decorations? Are those reindeer lawn ornaments I see?!

As if the small nagging voice in the back of my mind isn't already beginning to stress me out saying that December will be here before I know it, seeing the arrival of the holidays in the stores when I'm only just getting used to it being fall always sends a chill down my spine.

At least things have changed over the years. In the past I found myself procrastinating and ordering our holiday cards at the last minute, something that would be consistently displeasing. But then I realized that life would be much easier if I didn't waste time or effort looking at various sites when I could just go with the
amazing selection and quality that I've come to love and appreciate from TinyPrints.com.

2012 holiday cards

Even though I've seen (and sent) a variety of other holiday cards over the years, there is just something about Tiny Prints that has remained unmatched when it comes to style and overall impression. From traditional colors and embellishments to merry and bright colors that take on a modern feel, there is something about the way that that each one grabs your attention and celebrates the season in its own way.

With such a vast collection, I have always appreciated that Tiny Prints makes it easy to browse and narrow down their cards with all of the filters along the left of the screen. Whether you know you want a certain number of pictures, to stay within a set budget, use particular colors, card sizes or design styles... simply check those options and Tiny Prints will show which of their hundreds of cards meets the criteria.

Plus, I've always liked the ease and convenience of the Favorites Folder that Tiny Prints has tucked away at the bottom of the screen. With so many cards to choose from, being able to put your favorites into one spot makes it possible to compare them side-by-side to make a final decision easily.

Tiny Prints
Of course, even with all of the ways that Tiny Prints makes browsing and shopping more convenient, deciding on a final pick is still extremely difficult. The 2012 Holiday Collection has brought so many more gorgeous options that all of the fresh designs and fun features (mmmm, new luxurious Premium DoubleThick Matte Paper — cardstock at its finest!) make it hard to choose a favorite.

As I'm planning on most likely showcasing multiple photos (since getting one great photograph with kids can be awfully difficult), I love how Merriest Stripes: Deep Blue has plenty of room for various shots but also includes a simple, sweet message...

holiday cards

...but I also love the way the rounded corners highlight the adorable simplicity featured on the Handwritten Love: Bright Red option...

Love holiday card

...however, how could I not choose the It's That Time: Red Lantern? If I could just get one joyful photograph of both of my girls, how perfect would the "Sisterly Love" phrase be right there to showcase it?

sisters card

The decision-making gets even more difficult with all of the great ways that Tiny Prints allows you to customize their cards. Change the colors, personalize the words, round the corners (a touch that I love), and more... they even have alternative layouts to pick from.

That way, if you've fallen in love with the Peace Hope Joy: Gunmetal style like I have...

photo holiday cards

...but find yourself having gotten lucky with one stellar family photo that you'd like to use, you can simply change the layout so that it will highlight a single picture instead of many. Perfection!

photo holiday cards

Once the decision-making process is complete, I love knowing that whichever card I pick is going to turn out great simply because it will be from Tiny Prints. They haven't let me down once in the past and I have no doubt that they'll continue to impress me in the future!

No matter what your personality and style, Tiny Prints is sure to have the cards, gifts and more that you'll love this holiday season. If you are looking for religious/scripture based cards (including Hanukkah), they have them. Want to showcase your fur babies? They have those as well. Want to get your holiday planning and shopping underway? Tiny Prints offers party invitations and memorable personalized photo gifts like notebooks, photo books and calendars that your recipient is sure to treasure.

With exclusive designs from the nation's top designers, easy card personalization, a powerful preview engine, top-notch customer service (I received a phone call prior to my last order's printing to ensure that my design was just as I had dreamed!) and wonderful paper quality, their designs have been lauded by numerous television networks, publications, celebrities and more.

Whether you're new or familiar with TinyPrints.com, be sure to head over and browse their amazing selection (and their special offers page to get a great deal) — you won't be sorry! And, thanks to their generosity, one person will be able to order their favorites this season, because...

One lucky person will win a voucher for $50 off of their total order at Tiny Prints*!

Celebrate the Season with Tiny Prints Holiday Cards

Tiny Prints logoWith the arrival of October, the tiny nagging voice in the back of my mind that says The holidays are coming! The holidays are coming! has already begun letting me know that December will be here before I know it.

In previous years I found myself stressing over getting our holiday cards ordered at the last minute, but have since done a better job of planning in advance. Last year I was even able to extend that to my family when my sister-in-law and her husband helped with a Tiny Prints review that featured their amazing selection and quality.

The results were nothing short of stylish and, even though I had seen the cards already, when we received ours in the mail, I was still extremely impressed... and, quite honestly, a little jealous. Even though I've seen (and sent) a variety of other holiday cards over the years, there is just something about Tiny Prints that has remained unmatched.

And their selection of holiday photo cards for 2011 is no exception!

holiday photo cardsAs I've noticed in the past, Tiny Prints makes it easy to browse and narrow down their cards with all of the filters along the left of the screen. Whether you know you want a certain number of pictures, to stay within a set budget, use particular colors or card sizes... simply check those options and Tiny Prints will show which of their hundreds of cards meets the criteria.

We are having family pictures taken in a few weeks, so I'm waiting until after I've seen them to figure out what card will work best, but I currently have four in my Favorites Folder that are in the running.

As I'm planning on showcasing multiple great photos, I love the way that the Checkerboard Chic: Cranberry and the Crafty Charm: Cream are loaded with them on the front and back...

holiday photo cards
...but I also adore the rounded corners and the multiple images featured on the Photo Wishes: Teal design...

holiday cards
...however, the complete uniqueness of the Fun Fair Isle: Bright Green is something that I really like. How cool that the center image flips back and forth when you open and close the card!

unique holiday cards
It looks like I'm going to have some major decision-making to do once I see our photos. Fortunately, I know that whichever card I pick is going to turn out great simply because it will be from Tiny Prints. They haven't let me down once in the past and I have no doubt that they'll continue to impress me in the future!

Have you started thinking about the holidays yet? Do you tend to order your cards in advance or at the last minute?

(I will be provided Holiday Cards by Tiny Prints in exchange for this post, however, all thoughts and ideas stated here are my own. This post is solely my opinion of this website and their wonderful products.)

Hallmark Makes Back to School a Special Occasion {Interactive Story Buddy Review & Giveaway}

Hallmark logo{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, mummytotwoboys!}

There are a lot of things that my girls enjoy - everything from dress up to board games to sports to nearly everything in between (with a special nod to anything that might include food).

But if I were to name the top few very special, never-get-tired-of-this activities, reading books would always be a member of that select group. I can't think of a day that has gone by when books haven't been read, whether before nap time, at bedtime or just pulled off the shelf for a quick read on the couch.

There's no doubt about it, we love books.

The story, the imagination, the adventure, it's just all there. So, really, how can they be made any better?

Thanks to Hallmark, that has now happened. Because a book is just a book until it becomes an experience with the Hallmark Interactive Storybook & Story Buddy.

Hallmark Story BuddyAlthough they are best known for greeting cards, ornaments and television programming, at the heart of Hallmark is what they're really about: relationships and the emotional connections their products and experiences represent. More than just being there to celebrate the happy moments and provide sympathy through the difficult ones, Hallmark wants us to focus on the simplicity of what their motto so clearly points out: Life is a Special Occasion.

Hallmark was even able to make a recent event more special, when they gave BlogHer attendees a chance to fill out a ______ is a Special Occasion t-shirt to be a part of their VisibleMash (an interactive, online mosaic of moments). Coming up with something meaningful enough to write on my shirt at a moment's notice was hard, but I'm pretty happy with the end result:

VisibleMashLet's hear it: awwwwww!

To see the effect of a huge number of moments put together into this cool mosaic, simply visit Hallmark's VisibleMash... even better, if you would like to add something new, just go to the "Add Yourself" button and join in!

Along with everyday occasions, back-to-school time is special for children and families across the country and Hallmark’s Back-to-School Confidence Checklist is great for helping parents encourage and build confidence in their kids to last throughout the entire year. They suggest:
  • Let them hold onto your words. Kids often get embarrassed when parents say "I love you" in front of their friends. Think about sticking a card in their backpack or inside a textbook, so they can find it later and hold onto it all day. Hallmark's Kids Collection features cards addressing topics for young kids, including nerves about school and positive reinforcement for hard work, as well as topics for tweens/teens, such as peer pressure and choosing friends wisely.

  • I love this idea, because it allows you to communicate a sweet message to your child but in a personal, private manner. That way, if you happen to have an older child who is in the stage where they are embarrassed to give Mom a hug, they can still enjoy these sweet cards!
Hallmark Kids Collection
  • Surprise your child with a lunchtime delight. Fruits and veggies will help a kid be physically fit, but don’t forget about a child’s emotional wellness. Surprise your child with a serving of love and pride with Hallmark’s new bite-sized Lunchbox Notes. The unexpected "I love you" or "good luck" will let your child know you’re by their side, even after they get on the school bus.
What a fun way to brighten their day with something small enough that they can then carry around in their pocket to extend the feeling of love!
Hallmark Lunchbox Notes
  • Story time is an opportunity to develop reading skills, but it’s also a time for parents and kids to bond. For young readers, use a Hallmark Interactive Story Buddy and Storybook to encourage clear pronunciation. When a child clearly reads key phrases from the book, the Story Buddy responds!
Truly innovative and unique, I knew that Big Sister E and Little Sister B would be thrilled with an Interactive Story Buddy and the entertainment that it could provide. After all, cuddling up to read a book with a stuffed animal is pretty great on its own... but having the animal join in? Well, that's just magic!

Hallmark Interactive Story BuddyI immediately appreciated that Cooper the Bear came fully prepared and ready to go right out of the box. There was no setup or installation required, simply remove the packaging tags and press the power button on his ear and he lets you know that he is ready to hear a story.

Cooper the BearAs we opened Cooper's Big Bear Hug, the bright colors and cute illustrations had already caught our attention and we marveled for a minute on just how sweet Cooper looked and how fun it was that he was in the book while also being here with us.

Story Buddy reviewHaving not told the girls that Cooper would interact during the story, I began to read normally... and when I came to the first specially-marked sentence ("Cooper, I love you!"), he chimed right in ("I love you, too)!

Adorable! Both girls (as well as all adults that have since met Cooper) agree that the concept of the Interactive Story Buddy is such a great one. These soft, high quality pals have a way of turning a regular book into something so much more... and everything is better with a plush pal to cuddle with, right?

Hallmark talking bearInteractive Story Buddies retail for $29.95 and come with one free storybook (more can be purchased for $9.95). Look for them in your local Hallmark store for a unique gift idea that is sure to be treasured for quite some time to come!

Through moments big and small, Hallmark is there to help you share your feelings. I've always been impressed with the quality and innovation of their products in the past and their collection for back-to-school is no exception. Now is the time to show your child that you love them and are thinking of them with a note, a card or a cuddly friend!

And, thanks to the generosity of Hallmark, one person will be able to provide a new story time companion that will surely bring a smile to their child's face, because...
