Disney Imagicademy Apps Celebrate Creativity, Curiosity and Learning for Families {#DisneyImagicademy}

While I am proud of my daughters for many reasons, one in particular is their adoration for learning and education. They have both shown such curiosity and enthusiasm for everything from colors to shapes to numbers since a young age that I can't help but admire their eagerness and zest for knowledge.

Therefore, when I find new ways to work educational aspects in with entertainment, I know that they are going to be doubly as well-received. It's the best of both worlds and something we can all appreciate!

The only thing that can make it better? Incorporating their favorite characters right into the mix! Which is exactly why I knew right away that the launch of Disney's new learning brand, Disney Imagicademy, would be just the thing to merge my girls' love of the digital world with their passion to learn.

Disney Imagicademy

Created as a way for children ages 3-8 to explore concepts in language arts or social/emotional skills, the emphasis of Disney Imagicademy is on how the creative experience fuels children's curiosity and love of learning. With such a focus on imagination, endless possibilities and learning coming naturally, why would I not want to introduce my children to this world?

It was time to download Mickey's Magical Math World!

In the free Mickey’s Magical Math World app, children are invited to join Mickey and his pals on a fun-filled Space adventure that explores math concepts within a fully immersive playground of magical experiences.

My girls' eyes lit up immediately when they saw the bright colors, heard the upbeat music, and took a glimpse of all of the engaging and interactive activities waiting for them.

Mickey’s Magical Math World app

I always appreciate when an app is intuitive and straightforward enough that a child can navigate it on their own and that is just what we found with Mickey’s Magical Math World.

Kids can easily explore the five different worlds (each with their own Disney pal) that cover concepts such as shapes, counting, sorting, number challenges, and early addition and subtraction:
  • Mickey's Super Rocket Shapes
  • Minnie's Robot Count-Along
  • Donald's Number Launcher
  • Daisy's Bedtime Countdown
  • Goofy's Silly Sorting
Help Mickey build rockets while recognizing and identifying shapes, practice counting skills and patterns to train robots with Minnie, use a number line to help mischievous aliens wake up Donald, problem solve with Daisy and silly sleepwalking aliens, and sort recycled space garbage by color and shape with Goofy and his galactic recycling machine!

Big Sister E immediately declared Minnie's Robot Count-Along as her favorite part of the app...

...and Little Sister B couldn't get enough of Goofy's Silly Sorting.

There has been no doubt that Mickey's Magical Math World has inspired both girls (even though at age 8, Big Sister E seems to be slightly on the old end for it) to want to play over and over again... all the while immersing them in games that practice so many important early math skills without them even realizing.

But how could you not want to strengthen your addition and subtraction, reasoning, logic or ability to sort by color or shape when the overall app is so playful, age-appropriate and fun?

But Disney didn't leave parents out of the fun, as they also offer a coordinating app so that it is easy to monitor your child's progress on Mickey's Magical Math World. Simply download the free Disney Imagicademy Parents app and you'll be able to be a part of the Disney Imagicademy community as well.

This all-new app not only allows you to monitor your child's learning as they progress through all of the magical worlds with Mickey and friends, but it allows you to view your child's latest creations, provide in-game encouragement with a virtual "high five" and even share accomplishments with family and friends.

I love that I can log right in and see the "Pins" that my girls have earned, rockets they have designed and more. As opposed to other apps where I have a general idea as to what concepts are being presented, Disney Imagicademy Parents allows me to really stay on top of what is being learned.

At the same time, this app also serves as a fantastic go-to resource for information that can be used to engage with children in meaningful ways. In fact, Disney Imagicademy Parents let me easily find everything from daily articles to Imagicademy-inspired activities designed to help spark creativity and encourage imaginative learning. I can always use a little help when it comes to keeping my kids entertained and this app includes such a wide variety that you really can't go wrong!

In addition to the digital apps, children and parents can engage with the new Disney Imagicademy brand in a variety of ways, including a free community parent portal, free Disney Store events, books and magazines, and hands-on learning tools that extend the digital experience to the physical world.

The brand aims to engage and enrich children through the power of imagination and creativity and I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with next!

Disney Imagicademy apps are available now for FREE exclusively for IOS, so be sure to add Mickey's Magical Math World and Disney Imagicademy Parents to your iPad today!

I am all about educational apps. I try to limit tech time but am more lenient if it is an educational game.
