#WeShine at The Happiest 5k on the Planet: The Color Run 2015 Shine Tour {Promo Code!}

I've never hidden the fact that exercising... isn't exactly my thing. I wish I was one of those people who woke up itching to get to the gym or out for a run or to pick up a set of weights, but I'm just not. It's in my genes that I'd rather sleep in, I guess.

However, back in 2013 Big Sister E and I were introduced to a different kind of exercise that would forever change the way that I viewed "running for fun."

Instead of dreading the idea of dragging ourselves through mile after mile of a 5K, we have been counting down the days until it was time that we could return to the magic, happiness and craziness that only The Color Run can provide.

The Color Run 5K

The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness and individuality. Now the single largest event series in the world, The Color Run has exploded since their debut event and even hosted more than 300 color-filled, excitement-inducing events in 50+ countries in 2014.

If you've never experienced this event, you just haven't lived. It's truly that incredible! We have photos upon photos of the fantastic times we had participating the last two years but this one has always been my favorite for the way that it showcases just how much Big Sister E and I loved it!

However, this year The Color Run has added a few new twists and features to the mix that have had both of my daughters and myself even more jittery with anticipation ever since we received our first heads-up email months ago.

Because 2015 isn't just going to be filled with laughter and paint, now it is going to SHINE!

The Color Run Shine Tour

I mean come the heck on. Now there's glitter?!

The girls and I watched this video over and over and over, squealing a bit more each time! If you can watch the whole thing and somehow not be over-the-top excited to participate in the 2015 Shine Tour, then you might want to check to be sure you have a pulse.

Right? Right?! We're pumped!

Plus, along with the addition of the glittering, shining, metallic awesomeness that will surely be everywhere, The Color Run has pumped up the course, finish festival and participant kit as well. There will be a unique Sparkle Zone and photo ops throughout the race course while, at the finish festival, confetti cannons, shimmering clouds of color, and more will fill the air!

Participants in 2015 will receive a custom race tee, tricolor headband with silver stitching, brand-new glitter packet, shiny tattoos, and, the one that has my kids most excited, a gold finisher's medal! How cool is that?

I understand that the colors may wash out, but how do you get rid of the glitter?
