Checking Our List #23: EatSmart Digital Bathroom Scale {Review & Giveaway}

Ahh, the holidays. Between the increased number of birthdays in my family this time of year combined with Thanksgiving and Christmas, from October through January we have a lot of fun times getting together and celebrating so many wonderful occasions.

And what does that mean? Eating. Lots and lots of eating.

Every time I tell myself that I'm going to do a better job of not overeating and every time I find myself laid out on the couch feeling like I'm not going to be able to move for a week. Why does that always happen?

Pulling this digital scale out of the box, right away I liked the clean, modern look of the tempered glass platform and the way that the silver accents (it is also available in black) blend in well with my bathroom decor. The thin yet extremely sturdy glass has a crisp, clean look and I knew that this wasn't something I would feel the need to hide in a closet or tuck under a shelf when not in use.

Installing the four included batteries was a cinch and I set the scale down on the floor to give it a try. Having skipped reading the instruction manual, it took me by surprise that I received different readings the first time or two that I stepped on, but then realized that it was just calibrating... not to mention that I had tried to weigh myself on the carpet instead of hard surface. Oops!

Moving onto a solid floor, I was then able to put the four high-gauge EatSmart precision sensors to work and the numbers were perfectly accurate every time. I love the way that, without having to tap to clear the display, you can get on and off of the Precision Digital Bathroom Scale and have almost instant results. And, once you step away, the automatic shut off helps conserve energy so that it is ready for you the next time you want to check for any difference.
