Disney's "Have a Laugh" Volumes 1 and 2 on DVD {Review}

There are a lot of modern cartoon characters that my girls know and love, but there is something about the time-tested, classic ones that they really gravitate towards. Any time Mickey Mouse appears on a commercial or in an ad, Little Sister B calls out, "Mouse! Mouse!" and Big Sister E gives a big smile. There is just something him, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto and the rest of the gang that always brings laughter and fun!

The newest collection of cartoon shorts that Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released with these much-loved favorites are Have a Laugh Volume 1 and Have a Laugh Volume 2, both available now on DVD!

To say that my girls enjoyed these DVDs would be an understatement - they were riveted by every new scene! From the laugh-out-loud physical comedy to the hilarious color commentary to the music videos of various clips that were remixed to hit songs, Big Sister E and Little Sister B had a great time watching both.

Plus, as each DVD is filled with the cartoon shorts, I like the way that they give you places to stop without cutting off the end of the story. Whether we need to fill up an hour or just 15 minutes, the amount of fun can be tailored to each time we turn these on!
Have a Laugh Volume 1 features classics such as Mickey and the Seal, in which Mickey unexpectedly brings home a baby seal in his fish basket and chaos ensues. Additionally, Chip 'n Dale are the stars of Winter Storage, a fun-filled tale in which the two mischievous chipmunks go after Donald Duck's supply of acorns.

In Lonesome Ghosts, Mickey, Donald and Goofy are ghost hunters who try to tackle four troublesome spooky specters. These three fast-paced comedy romps, along with How to Hook Up Your Home Theater and Food for Feudin' make up this 73-minute DVD of laughs!

Have a Laugh Volume 2 continues the fun with viewers laughing along when "Conductor Pete" nearly derails Mickey and Pluto's train ride in Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip. The hilarity continues when Donald battles a noisy alarm clock and a feisty folding bed and then Goofy hits the slopes pretty hard in The Art of Skiing.

All in all, the combination of Mr. Mouse Takes a Trip, Clock Cleaners, Early to Bed, The Art of Skiing and Pluto's Sweater kept this 63-minute DVD entertaining and fun the whole way through!

These timeless Disney cartoons are sure to be a hit for the whole family and the way that they have been fully restored, remixed and remastered for the first time on DVD make Have a Laugh Volume 1 and Have a Laugh Volume 2 staples in any home collection. Retailing for $19.99, check online or at your local retailer today!

(Other than the Have a Laugh Volume 1 and Have a Laugh Volume 2 DVDs that I was provided by Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment, I was not compensated or enticed or to do this review in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of these DVDs and their contents.)

My son loves Mickey and Donald. These DVDs would be a nice change from what we usually watch. Once my son likes a video he watches it over and over. I think I would like Have a Laugh myself!
