Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars {Review}

Kraft MilkBite logoAs a parent, we know that there are going to be difficult times. Things like sending our children off for their first day of school, watching them pull out of the driveway after getting their license or saying goodbye after dropping them off at college are only a few of the tough situations that we're sure to encounter.

But as well as milestone occasions, there are small obstacles that we have to overcome much more often. Among those are convincing our kids that brushing their teeth daily is necessary, persuading them that Mom's kiss really can heal a boo-boo, and saying no to the hundredth request for a tasty snack.

That last one can sometimes be particularly difficult, as I can only get away with turning my back (or hiding behind the door of the refrigerator) for so much longer now that my kids are getting older and wiser, right?

Fortunately, Kraft has made it much easier now that we've been able to happily indulge in a snack that is both delicious and nutritious in their Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars.

Kraft MilkBite BarsWith an appearance similar to a traditional granola bar, Kraft MilkBite Bars have an innovative and unique twist that parents and kids can both enjoy. Instead of finding these colorful boxes lining the shelves of the snack aisle in the grocery store, these tasty bars are found in the refrigerated dairy aisle due to the fact that they combine real milk with whole grain granola and other tasty and nutritious ingredients like fruit or roasted nuts.

That's right, along with getting the convenience and flavor of a yummy granola bar, Kraft MilkBite Bars are an excellent source of calcium and provide the same benefits as an 8 oz. glass of milk. They are also a good source of vitamin D and fiber, include protein (5g), and whole grains (7g), and do not contain any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

But, really. How good can something like that taste? Arriving in their own cute cooler bag, we were looking forward to seeing just what a granola bar filled with milk would taste like.

Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola BarsAfter looking over the boxes, the kids and I were beginning to feel our mouths watering and our stomachs rumbling.

Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars reviewOpting to give the Chocolate flavor a try first, I was surprised and pleased to find that Kraft included an easy-tear box that results in a convenient way to store it right in your fridge. The next time you need a snack, you can simply reach right in and grab a bar!

Kraft MilkBite Bars reviewWhen it came time for the taste test, I knew from one glance that I wasn't going to have to do a lot of convincing in order for the kids to want to try these. After all, aside from feeling a little cold, these looked pretty darn scrumptious!

yummy snackPositive reaction #1 and...

tasty snackPositive reaction #2. Both girls were thrilled with these bars and, after trying my own, I wholeheartedly agreed! These are delicious! They have a slightly more condensed feel to them when you bite in (as well as the cold), but the flavor is just the right amount of sweetness with crunch.

Both the Chocolate and Strawberry were extremely well-received, with Chocolate ending up with the slight edge simply because... it's Chocolate. We have since purchased more Kraft MilkBite Bars at the store and the kids have continued to ask for "those yummy bar things in the fridge."

Considering that my kids do drink some milk but could always use a little more, I'm happy to have found a product that they both love that also contains a boost of calcium and more. These are sure to be a fixture in our refrigerator for quite some time to come!

Available in five delicious flavors – Chocolate, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Mixed Berry – Kraft MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars are a great way to snack at home, school, work or on-the-go. This tasty and wholesome alternative to traditional bars can be found in the refrigerated dairy aisle for a suggested retail price of $3.49.

(Other than the MilkBite Bars that I received from Kraft, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this review in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this tasty product.)
