A Party Fit for a Princess: Embracing the Cinderella Life {#CBias #DisneyPrincessWMT}

In case it wasn't abundantly clear by my previous post, Little Sister B was oh just a tad excited to participate in celebrating the release of Cinderella from the Disney vault and its first ever appearance on Blu-Ray.

For a princess-loving preschooler, throwing on a gown and heading to Walmart to attend the #DisneyPrincessWMT Retailtainment Event was right up her alley!

We weren't 100% sure what to expect, but, after having heard that there were plans for pumpkin decorating, coloring sheets, interactive activities and more, we were eager to join the fun.

Popping my Cinderella into a cart (and grabbing a little cup of Craisins as we headed past the sample stand), we began our stroll towards the electronics and movies section of the store.

As we came around the corner, we spotted Cinderella balloons and knew that we were in the right place! The friendly Walmart employee at the table loved that Little Sister B was in costume and immediately offered us a piece of cake – something that my princess has never once turned down.

After chatting and eating our cake, we checked out the Diamond Edition of the Cinderella Blu-Ray/DVD (Little Sister B was overjoyed with the box set that came with a carriage bank) as well as the Cinderella merchandise throughout the store.

To turn up the princess excitement, we also had to pull out the Disney Princess Augmented Reality App (FREE in the App Store for Apple devices and in Google Play for Android) to see what would happen when we scanned and unlocked more aspects.

From a magic carriage that appeared when we scanned the DVD/Blu-ray cover...

...to more outfit options, we love the ability to continue our princess fun whenever we want thanks to this Royal Ball AR 2.0 app – it is definitely one of Little Sister B's favorites!

Once we finished checking out all of the Cinderella aspects throughout Walmart, we headed home to finish planning our Cinderella Viewing Party with five of our favorite little princess pals.

From coloring to games to an adorable craft project (making their own tiaras!) to lunch, it was so much fun to see a room full of little girls excited about all things princess!

While our attendees didn't have long enough attention spans to sit and watch Cinderella straight through, they still were happy to come watch it in small doses in between playing games, dancing around, eating and more.

Even though Cinderella has been around since 1950 (we had to quick Google that since no one was quite sure when it originally debuted), I realized that I had never seen it all the way through and was glad to finally have the chance.

The way that Cinderella is continually kind and stays positive even in situations that aren't ideal is a great message for kids (and adults) everywhere!

"Cinderelly! Cinderelly!"

Overall, we have had such a great time with all of the magic of Cinderella and I have loved seeing the excitement on all of the girls' faces as they have enjoyed the world of fairy godmothers, royal balls and dreams coming true. I have no doubt that we'll have plenty more princess invitations, menus, decorations, activities, games and parties in our future!
