Celebrate Literacy and Diversity with Dollar General {Prize Pack Giveaway - 2 winners!}

Dollar General logo
Even though we typically think of January and February as months when we can relax and recover from the crazy hustle and bustle of the holidays, February represents a month that is important to remember and honor just as much: Black History Month.

This year, in celebration of diversity, and coinciding with Black History Month, Procter & Gamble has teamed up with Dollar General to honor Every Day Heroes who make sacrifices for their families and are making a difference in their communities.

To celebrate the Every Day Hero in each of us, Dollar General chose Sabrina Williams as its Every Day Hero for February 2013. She will be featured in a national television program airing on TNT called "Dramatic Differences."

Sabrina Williams

Sabrina is a driving force in the community of North Lawndale, on the west side of Chicago. In addition to raising her own four children in the neighborhood she grew up in, she also became a valued community leader and volunteer.

She was the Chair of the Parent Committee at her children's elementary school and continued to work with a national after-school literacy organization, America SCORES, as a writing coach for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys, even after all of her own children went on to high school.

As well as Sabrina's own accomplishments, she is a great choice by Dollar General due to their own commitment to literacy. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation does a wonderful job of helping people take their first step toward following their dream of learning to read, earning their GED Diploma, or learning English.

Dollar General Literacy Foundation

Along with supporting such good causes, Dollar General can help the rest of us as well by saving a bundle of cash on our shopping! The February P&G brandSAVER arrived in local newspapers this past Sunday, January 27th and, as you can use P&G brandSAVER coupons at Dollar General, it makes it even easier to get high-quality P&G products at rock bottom prices!

If you haven't been shopping at the Dollar General near you, you're missing out! Keep an eye out for their circular and then combine those offers with P&G brandSAVER coupons to fully extend your budget.

And, thanks to the generosity of P&G, two people will soon be able to do some extra shopping and try out some awesome products for themselves, because...

Two lucky people will win a Dollar General P&G Prize Pack*!

P&G giveaway
 *Prize Pack includes a $10 Dollar General gift card, as well as samples of Dawn dish soap, Gain laundry detergent, TIDE PODS, Downy Unstoppables and Head and Shoulders Endurance shampoo.

A big thank you to Proctor & Gamble for providing a Dollar General prize pack for me as well as for two lucky giveaway winners. The opinions shared are my own and honest and if you really need to see more, click here to see how I roll.
