Delicious and a Great Cause: Wendy's Father's Day Frosty Weekend {$10 Gift Card Giveaway!}

 

With Father's Day 2013 right around the corner, I find myself yet again hurrying to get plans together. A gift? An evening out? Will just a morning of sleeping in count?

Fortunately, I know that my husband isn't all too particular and is typically happy with a special day that includes being relieved of household chores and parenting responsibilities. If the plan also includes something tasty, that's always a good thing... and, if there's a possibility of eating something delicious while also supporting a good cause, then what could be better?

Which is why it is perfect that this weekend happens to be Father’s Day Frosty Weekend at Wendy's to satisfy Dad's taste buds and also raise money for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

On a mission to dramatically increase the number of adoptions of waiting children from North America's foster care systems, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption (DTFA) believes that they have a responsibility to be the voice of foster care adoption.

Through the money they raise, they are able to provide free educational resources, promote awareness, assist policymakers and employers, and support adoption professionals and agencies throughout the United States and Canada to ensure that every child finds a forever home.

Is there anyone that wouldn't want to support such a great foundation? Not to mention that this weekend you can do so by enjoying an ice cold Frosty? Because all of Father's Day weekend — June 15th and 16th — 50¢ will be donated to the DTFA and used to benefit Wendy's Wonderful Kids, a program that helps foster children in need find great homes.
