Shaklee 180™ Program Month 4 Update: The Color Run {#ShakleeBlogger}

 Shaklee logo
It has been four months since I opened my first Shaklee 180™ Turnaround™ Kit, blended up a tasty smoothee, and realized that this was a journey that I was ready to take. Whether it ended with me reaching my goal, getting halfway there, or simply gaining the knowledge that I need to make healthier choices for myself, it was time and I was ready.

What I didn't count on, however, was that the Shaklee 180™ program could truly change my life.

Not just help me shed some pounds or fit into smaller jeans, but that it could take concepts like motivation, getting active and exercise and remove the negative stigma that they have always held in my mind. I'm not one of those people who sets the alarm and gets up early to work out and I'm not someone to willingly ignore the pan of brownies cooling on the stove.

But now, four months later, I find myself feeling... eager to be active. Actually wanting to get up and move and feeling annoyed if I don't fit in a way to get some exercise during the day, leaving my body feeling sluggish and slow.

Who is this person and where did this crazy change come from?

To solidify this change in my thinking, this past weekend Big Sister E and I participated in an event that I would never have thought possible, The Color Run. 5K of running, jogging and walking while being covered with paint? My pre-Shaklee 180™ self would have looked at you like you were out of your mind.

But my post-Shaklee 180™ self? She had a blast.

The Color Run

I'm telling you, those 3.1 miles flew past due to us being so focused on the various paint stations and what color was going to be tossed out on us next. I couldn't believe when we were rounding the last few curves that the finish line was in sight and, shock of all shocks, I could have kept on going much further!

If you've ever wanted a crazy fun way to take up running, I highly recommend visiting TheColorRun.com and seeing if there is going to be a race in your area. It was an experience that we'll never forget and are already planning on attending next year (which, incidentally, is probably about the time that we'll finally get all of the paint off from this year).

I'm trying to say goodbye to my Before and am ready to say hello to my After with Shaklee 180™. If you'd like to find out more about the program, connect with them on their website, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

You can also find out more about all of Shaklee's incredible products for healthy nutrition, home and beauty by connecting with Shaklee Corporation on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

That run looks so much fun. I'm about to do a mud run in October with some friend and so excited. Congratulations mama and to your little one:)

It looks like fun. I need to try something like this after I have my baby so I can lose this weight.

Good for both of you! I'd be a bit leery of all the paint. I noticed that they'll be one in Denver next month.
