Recently Big Sister E's school sent out a survey asking parents a few questions about the hot lunch offerings — how often our child bought their lunch versus bringing it from home, if there were questions or suggestions that we had, and more.
As soon as I got to the question that read If your child brings their lunch more often, what is the reason why? it took me approximately half a second to check the box for My child doesn't like the selection/is a picky eater.
That's my girl all right.
And even though I'm not a huge fan of packing her lunchbox every day (mainly because I'm not fully awake until approximately 1 hour after she has started school), at least I'm fortunate that she often gets excited about helping.
Plus, it makes things easier that every day, every single day, we start the process by placing the same two things in to get us started: a juice box and a Go-GURT Yogurt.
The first-ever yogurt in a tube, Go-GURT Portable Lowfat Yogurt makes lunchtime and on-the-go snacking quick, easy, portable and delicious.
Both of my daughters have LONG loved all of the great tasting flavors that Go-GURT is available in...
...and it makes me happy knowing that it is made with natural colors and flavors, is a good source of vitamins A, D and Calcium and contains no high-fructose corn syrup.
Even better, while I have fretted in the past about keeping a traditional yogurt cup chilled as it sits unrefrigerated all the way until lunchtime, Go-GURT provides the perfect solution.
Just freeze it! We keep our Go-GURT boxes right in the freezer and, after spending the morning in Big Sister E's lunchbox, it has thawed to just the right consistency when she pulls it out in the cafeteria.
Three out of four kids are not getting the recommended levels of calcium and vitamin D, which are essential nutrients for building strong bones, so I love that Go-GURT makes everyone happy... kids go crazy for the delicious, creamy texture and wacky flavors, and moms love the Yoplait goodness!
If you are looking for a perfect lunchtime snack, be sure to take a look at the huge selection and variety of Go-GURT Yogurt available at your local grocery or retail store and find out more by visiting their website and connecting with Yoplait on Facebook and Twitter.
And, thanks to their generosity, one person will be prepared for tasty, filling, portable lunchtime snacks for quite some time to come, because...
One lucky person will win a $25 Target Gift Card
and (5) free Go-GURT coupons!
