I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Arla Dofino. I received product samples to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
Among the many, many things that I loved about the preschool both of my girls attended, one is all of the great things that they continually learned. And not just traditional concepts like mastering the ABCs, how to raise your hand and wait to be called on, or why to not wave scissors around while sitting at the art table (although they hopefully learned those, too).
Instead, it was always clear that the teachers were also incorporating concepts such as empathy, friendship, good manners and healthy eating and the importance of taking care of your body.
"Milk is healthy for you, Mama. I'm gonna drink milk!"
"Are carrots healthy for you, Mama?" Yes, carrots are very healthy for you. "Oh. I'd like some carrots, please!"
"Broccoli is good for you, it helps you get big and strong!"
Who knew that kids could be such experts on nutrition? Therefore, these days when I them that they are going to get to enjoy cheese, which is already a major favorite of my young Wisconsinites, and that it is going to be especially good for them because it is from Arla Dofino, they nearly bolt to the table for a bite!
The Arla Dofino brand of cheese, made by Arla Foods, includes a naturally delicious range of family-friendly cheese flavors such as Havarti, Gouda, Edam and Fontina. Perfect for casual get-togethers, afternoon snacks or lunchtime favorites, Arla Dofino cheeses bring simple joy to families with their great taste and the good feeling received from choosing something healthy.
In fact, Arla Dofino cheeses are naturally good and are free of added hormones and additives, while being crafted in an environmentally friendly way. Arla believes that milk is nature's best food product and their cheeses have the same four core quality, natural ingredients: pasteurized milk, cheese culture, salt and microbial rennet.
Is there a better quick, healthy snack that adults and kids are sure to love? Arla cheeses please the palate of the adventurous and timid eaters alike, from tangy Havarti with Dill, to Gouda with Chipotle!
Knowing that my own family as well as a few of our friends would be excited about trying out one or more varieties of Arla Dofino cheeses, we headed to the store to see what we could find.
Unfortunately we were only able to track down one Arla Dofino cheese, but considering that Havarti was the one that I was most interested in trying, I was still happy to find it!
With a lunchtime play date only days away, I was excited to incorporate our new cheese into a few of the dishes and was eager to see the reactions of the adults and kids.
Arlo Dofino describes their Havarti cheese as having "a buttery and gentle creamy taste, is semi-soft and has a mellow aroma," and they were right!
I loved how easy it was to spread this cheese on our crackers and when used as an added layer in impromptu sandwiches, it fit just right and provided a creamy, mild taste. Mmm, it was definitely a hit all around!
Arla Dofino cheese spokesperson, Kelsey Banfield from The Naptime Chef, believes that being a mom and a foodie are not mutually exclusive and I agree! Arla Dofino cheeses are the perfect example, as they have the quality and nutrition of a fancy schmancy cheese but enough light flavor and overall appeal that a mom can easily incorporate them into her family dishes and snacks.
When it comes to making the best food choices for our families, it's time to break free of the monotonous routines that we all fall into and instead include something special to bring new fun and tastes to the table. I have no doubt that we'll keep an eye out for more of the Arla Dofino cheeses in the future as I look forward to trying out more of the delectable flavors!
