Enjoy a Delicious Summer with New IHOP World Egg Scrambles {Review}

Although it wouldn't be hard to talk my family into a meal at nearly any point of the day (how is it possible that kids seem to be hungry all the time?), breakfast has always been a big favorite. Who can resist delicious things like eggs, hash browns and pancakes at any point in the day?

And one of the names that knows what it takes to continually reinvent the breakfast experience has done it again. IHOP, the family restaurant chain known for its world famous buttermilk pancakes for more than half a century, has recently proved again why they are America's favorite breakfast destination by announcing the availability of three new World Scrambles.

IHOP World Scrambles

Available only until September 7th, IHOP's new World Scrambles are inspired by far-away destinations as well as home-grown tastes as they boast a world of flavor in every bite. If you have a taste for adventure, you only need to go as far as your local IHOP restaurant to see how these tasty egg scramble sensations are able to bring a smile to your face!

As we have always found that IHOP does indeed offer its guests an affordable, everyday dining experience with warm and friendly service, we were excited to get to head over for a visit to try these new savory egg dishes for ourselves.

We were only steps inside the door before our mouths were watering over photos showing all three of the delicious varieties of World Scrambles.

Yes, please!

Once we were seated, I still couldn't decide which of the new dishes I wanted to try, why does IHOP have to come up with so many tasty choices?

IHOP menu

Lest you think that ordering a World Scramble is only going to result in the actual egg dish itself, know that each one is made to order and then perfectly paired with golden hash browns and your choice of a warm flour tortilla, toast, or two of IHOP's classic buttermilk pancakes. More decisions!

After pondering the three flavor options yet a little while longer...
  • All-American Bacon Scramble: Fluffy scrambled eggs topped with diced fresh tomatoes, crispy hickory-smoked bacon and shaved white cheddar cheese.
  • Tuscan Scramble: Eggs scrambled with sweet basil, roasted red peppers, finished with shaved Parmesan cheese, diced tomatoes and topped with delicious fresh spinach.
  • Californian Scramble: Jack and cheddar cheeses melted into fluffy scrambled eggs topped with salsa and fresh avocado.
...I decided that I couldn't pass up the tasty ingredients in the Tuscan Scramble. Fortunately, my husband opted for the Californian Scramble (which had been my second choice), so I was still able to try out both!

When our food arrived, both scrambles were a bit smaller than we had expected, but still filled/topped with a great deal of fresh, delicious ingredients.

IHOP Californian Scramble

While a bite of the Californian Scramble proved to be cheesy and filling (with a tiny kick from the salsa), I found the Tuscan Scramble to be extremely satisfying and tasty.

I loved that, instead of having a dish that seemed like separate items next to each other, each bite was filled with the flavors of the egg, cheese, spinach, peppers and tomatoes all at once! Mmmm!

IHOP Tuscan Scramble review

As always, we left IHOP feeling extremely full and happy — you just can't go wrong with their amazing breakfast options!

I'm happy that we had the chance to try out these new savory egg scramble options, as they will be disappearing from the IHOP menu in less than a month. If you're looking for a satisfying choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner and already love IHOP's custom-made egg dishes, hurry in to try the tastes of Tuscany, Italy and California before they're gone!

For more information on these World Scrambles (and all of IHOP's yummy meals) or to find an IHOP restaurant near you (there are more than 1,600 locations around the world!), visit IHOP.com and be sure to connect with them on Facebook and Twitter.

I was provided with an IHOP gift card in order to facilitate my review, however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are honest and my own.

Oh, IHOP, why won't you open a restaurant closer than two-and-a-half hours from here? That Tuscan Scramble is calling my name, but it seems I only get to IHOP when we're traveling. Hmmmm.... it might be time for a road trip, now that I'm thinking about it!

Thanks for the review.

I'm interested in trying the Californian-because of the avocado!
