Pop On Pals {Review} A new world of endless Popabilities

With so many toys out there, it's hard for any parent to know what might hold their child's interest for an extended period of time. Oftentimes the items that do just that are those that do a little something... more. It doesn't have to be major, but possibly if a stuffed animal also plays music or a car can be flipped over to be a boat, then maybe it wouldn't be discarded quite as quickly as some others. Is that just what it takes to hold a child's attention span a little bit longer?

So, when I heard about Spin Master's new Pop On Pals and their endless mix & match possibilities, I knew that their innovative changeability would be something new and exciting that my kids would enjoy.

What makes Pop On Pals unique? More than just standard plastic characters, these figures have a removable ring around their middle that snaps on and off, completely changing them from one person to the next. One moment you are playing with a fireman and, one pop later, he is a handyman. The veterinarian turns into a gardener and the policeman turns into a baseball player... there is even a line of pets to add to the fun. The possibilities are endless!

Along with the characters, there is a cute world of vehicles and playsets that make up the Pop On Pals world. The people pop in and out of their cars, trucks, airplane, bus and more and help promote imaginative play while developing fine motor skills. For us, Big Sister E was only too happy to bring her new friend to the Pop On Pals Amusement Park.

Just like at a real fair, your child can have their Pop On Pal knock down milk bottles or test out their strength trying to ring the strongman's bell. Next, take a ride on the Ferris wheel or dragon swing and then head to the top for the roller coaster - cute little car included. The whole set is easy to play with for any age, as the person really does pop right in to the stand or seat.

With each activation point, the Amusement Park Playset included lights and music that amused both of my daughters and gave them a good laugh. Big Sister E liked popping the rings on and off of the Pal and Little Sister B had a great time sending him shooting down the roller coaster onto the floor over and over again.

I would have liked to see more than one Pop On Pals character included with this Playset, however, as that would encourage more than one child to play with it at a time. But, with a whole line of popable pals available throughout the U.S. and Canada, kids could have a great time picking out their own favorite little friends to accompany them on their next carnival visit.

For more information on Pop On Pals and a full list of retailers, visit their website. The Amusement Park Playset retails for $34.99 and is suggested for ages 2 and up, however, at 1.5, Little Sister B has been having a great time spinning the Ferris wheel and running the roller coaster into the ground time and time again! As for Big Sister E, even if she loses interest in the fair, she still has managed to find other uses for the Pop On Pals rings...

(Other than the Pop On Pals Amusement Park Playset that I was provided by Spin Master, I was not compensated or enticed or to do this review in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of this Playset and its features.)
