Ellington Handbags {Review} The Annie Crossbody Purse

As much as I love purses and bags, I am much more of a "quality over quantity" type of purse owner. I'll spend plenty of time admiring the flashy colors and crazy prints that I see women carrying when the kids and I are out and about... but am content knowing that they're just not me.

I'm more of a classic handbag type of girl. I want to own purses that are created out of high quality leathers and fabrics, are comfortable and easy to carry, have the right amount of room that I desire without being bulky and will have a sense of eternal stylishness. I'm not really into anything so trendy and "in" that it would get used for one season and then have to be replaced, I would rather purchase a purse that can be used for years to come.

Currently, the site that fulfills all of those wishes (and more) for me by combining fashion, function and style is none other than Ellington.

With a purse in every different shape and size, Ellington's handbags are made out of beautiful materials in rich, warm shades like burgundy, red and yellow or cool, smooth hues of gray, brown or black... with every other color in between. As soon as I unwrapped the Annie Crossbody Purse in gray, I had no doubt that it was going to be exactly what I was looking for in a convenient, versatile bag.

Designed with an active lifestyle in mind, right away I could see myself carrying the Annie Crossbody Purse every time that I manage to leave the house not lugging a diaper bag. The lightweight nylon is silky smooth and the fact that it is so easy to care for (simply spot clean it with soap and water!) is essential for someone like me who always seems to end up with something sticky or gooey mysteriously on my purse.

After I got through running my hand up and down the fabric (I'm telling you, it's just that nice!) I wasn't sure which pocket to peek inside of first.

Going with the main zippered compartment, I was happy to find a complementary light-colored lining, sizable slip pocket and a clip to attach a set of keys (not the annoying rings that take forever to use). The main space itself is just the right size for all of the essentials that I would need and the length of the purse itself fits my wallet perfectly, with enough room to spare for something like a phone, camera, pens and more.

However, for even more storage space, the Annie Crossbody Purse has two additional exterior zip pockets on the front that are deceivingly large and incredibly easy to access.
I love being able to slip my phone or iPod right into one of these pockets and know that it will be protected, readily available and, with the strong zippers, completely safe and secure. Or, for a drop-and-go location, there is also a slip pocket across the back of this purse that has come in handy many times for small items or papers I have wanted to have close.

All in all, I love the high quality and multiple uses that the Annie Crossbody Purse has provided. The brushed nickel hardware is extremely strong and durable, as well as the tabs and attachments throughout. Being able to adjust the strap to go over my shoulder or across my body is great, not to mention that when I do need to cart my big diaper bag with me, I can just detach the strap from the purse altogether and place it right inside the larger bag for extra organization.

For $29 (and free shipping!) the Annie Crossbody Purse comes in multiple beautiful colors and is perfect for short trips around town or long outings on vacation. You can't go wrong! And for more amazing bags, clutches, totes, hobo bags and others, Ellington has a great line of Fall 2010 handbags for every personality. Their classic-chic designs will be sure to be a hit for years to come!

(Other than the Annie Crossbody Purse that I was provided by Ellington, I was not compensated or enticed or to do this review in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of this purse, its features and this company's great selection.)
