Checking Our List #12: My Pillow Pets Snuggly Puppy {Review & Giveaway}

With the holidays right around the corner, parents everywhere are starting to feel the pressure from their kids on what the must-have toys of the year are and just how badly they are wishing for them.

I have to admit that sometimes when I hear about the "hottest toys" and the craze that happens while people attempt to get their hands on them, I don't understand it. In fact, when I scroll through the list made by mega toy giant, Toys "R" Us, on 2010's most popular ones, there are some that I haven't even heard of before.

Of course then I get to their "Fabulous 15" listing of the best of the best, and it's not a surprise in the slightest that the name Pillow Pets is prominently displayed.

Combining the functionality of a pillow with the security of a plush pet, we've been fortunate to have the opportunity review My Pillow Pets in the past and have loved each and every one of them. Whether for snuggling when it's naptime or laughing with during playtime, these super-soft and fluffy stuffed pals have been a hit every time.

So, when Snuggly Puppy showed up to join us, it was definitely no exception.

As is a trademark of Pillow Pets, Snuggly Puppy was not only adorably huggable, but his high quality chenille fur and plush, cushioned body led to instant love for both Big Sister E and Little Sister B. After immediately giving him kisses, they began opening and closing the Velcro tab to transform him from being an animal to being a pillow and back again.

I mentioned the love, right?

After doing a great job taking turns showing Snuggly Puppy their love, Big Sister E even realized that it was time to introduce him to the other dog in our home: Patriotic Pup.

With the popularity of My Pillow Pets going strong in our house and around the country, they have now expanded the collection (which is easily accessible right on their new website) to include even more great ways to enjoy your best friend. The backpacks and hats would be perfect for taking with to school and the blankets and slippers are just right for relaxing at home.

As another fun new added feature, the My Pillow Pets blog, written by the Pets themselves, is filled with cute biographies on many of the characters, giving you an insight into their favorite foods and best friends. Not all of the animals have a profile just yet but it's still a lot of fun for kids to read about their favorite things to do and the foods that they enjoy the most.

And of course My Pillow Pets doesn't want to leave out the opportunity to win more of these folding stuffed animals from them! Each day in November the company will post the name of one of their popular Pillow Pets on their Facebook page and challenge kids to create as many words as they can using the letters in its name. There is a winner each week, so be sure to head over with your child to join in!
