As Seen On TV: Buckle Up, Snuggle Up with SeatPets {Review}

Of the (many) things that have baffled me about my children from the time they were born, was their ability to fall asleep pretty much anywhere and at anytime.

Screaming fans on all sides at a sporting event? No problem. Kids yelling and animals squawking, braying, neighing and more at the zoo? Snoozing away in the stroller.

And although I get it that the motion and vibration of the car can be relaxing and soothing, that doesn't mean that I understand how you could possibly stay asleep when your body is folded up to look like this:

My neck and back hurt just looking at that picture.

But considering I'm not going to ride in the seat next to my kids and hold their heads up when they start to doze off, what's the other option?

Well, if you've seen any infomercials over this past year, then you know that the items that children of all ages are clamoring for to keep them comfortable, content and happy are the one and only SeatPets.

Available in seven adorable styles — Bentley the Dog, Mercedes the Cat, Love Bug the Ladybug, Lincoln the Lion, Malibu the Monkey, Yukon the Cow, and Edsel the Monster — SeatPets are the cuddly traveling companions that are delighting children everywhere.

By simply attaching them right to the seat belt itself, SeatPets are then able to provide the comfort, storage and fun that kids want and that parents appreciate. These 22" long plush friends provide full body coverage and include three pockets and a zippered compartment designed to store all of the things that kids take with them in the car.

SeatPets have received accolades from top toy-industry organizations and have been the cause of pointing, staring and multiple comments from my kids when seen on television. Could they live up to the high expectations that we had for them? It was time to see!

SeatPets review

Adorable!

Right away it was easy to see that SeatPets are not only designed to eliminate dangling heads or red marks on the necks of sleeping children, but that they provide great convenience and storage as well.

Along with the two smaller pockets on the front that are just right to hold an mp3 player or small toys...

...there is also one larger zippered pocket the runs the length of the body. Kids can store stuffed animals, handheld games, an 8 oz water bottle, or more and have it instantly at hand!

After checking out all of the cute features, there was no doubt that the girls wanted their SeatPets immediately installed in the car.

Fortunately, it only takes a matter of seconds to put these into place, as there is a Velcro flap on the back of the head and body of SeatPets that makes them quick and easy to place over seat belts.

It took me less than a minute before I had both SeatPets in place and they were ready and waiting for kids to come and cuddle.

Then, of course, it was time to try them out!

Although it took the girls a little while to get used to buckling their seat belts with the SeatPets attached, once they practiced maneuvering it, they were pros... and in love!

SeatPets As Seen on TV

While we haven't taken an long car rides (leading to naps in the car) since the arrival of our SeatPets, there is no doubt that the girls have been thrilled having them there for shorter distances — it's like a built-in stuffed animal/storage place/best friend all in one!

As an added bonus, not only are SeatPets machine-washable (LOVE that!!) but they come with a convenient carrying strap as well. Simply place it through the flaps on the back and now SeatPets are able to be brought on the go for trips, vacations and more!

If you're looking for a unique, creative, fun gift for the child in your life or if you have an upcoming long car trip planned, SeatPets might just be the answer. I foresee ours staying in our car for quite some time to come!

Suitable for children ages 3 and up, SeatPets are available for purchase online for $19.99 + shipping & handling. Visit SeatPets.com to find out more, browse the cute selection, and to place your order.

Other than the two SeatPets that I was provided in order to facilitate my review, I was not compensated or enticed to do this post in any way. This review is solely my honest opinion of this product.

This is great and that it can be secured with the seat belt to stay in place is great also.

Oh I want one! I cannot take car rides without falling asleep, always waking with a sore neck. I have seen the infomercial for these, super cute.

My grandkids are 3 and 4 years old and I love these pets - They will find them sitting under the tree on Christmas morning!

I love the idea of SeaPets. From the time my son was an infant I could cringe every time I saw him sleeping in his car seat. Such terrible angles and contorted styles. He's grown now, however $19.99 is a steal for the comfort of SeaPets.

These would work so good on our car trips. I know a couple of my grandchildren would love them. The price is pretty reasonable too.
