pediped footwear Debuts Spring/Summer 2014 Collection {Review & Giveaway}

pediped logo
With the arrival of spring so close that we can nearly taste it, I'm even more anxious to pack away all of our winter gear than usual. The snow pants, the hats, the scarves, the gloves and mittens (which, for the time being actually have their partner), the boots... it just all needs to go into storage in favor of t-shirts, shorts and, best of all, sandals.

Being able to pack away the winter boots and pull out easy-to-wear, comfortable, warm weather shoes just has a way of making me happy each year. My toes must miss the sunshine!

But it's not only my own feet that are excited about the change in footwear, my kids are also big fans of the comfort, style, and versatility that goes along with summer sneakers, flats and sandals... and when it comes to the children's shoes that we know and love, we always turn to pediped footwear.

pediped kids shoes

The unparalleled quality, durability and distinctive fashionable styles — with new ones being added all the time — from pediped are perfect for everything from casual to dressy occasions. No matter what age or stage of development your child is in, from infant to big kid, pediped has a pair of shoes that will keep their feet safe, healthy and looking good at the same time.

We have long loved all three collections that pediped has to offer and have continued to be impressed time and again with the styles, color combinations, Memory Foam Technology and more.

No matter the need, the vast variety of Mary Janes, sandals, sneakers and boat shoes in sweet pastels, classic neutrals and bright neons are sure to have every occasion covered for all upcoming warm weather adventures.

spring kids shoes

pediped's three signature lines include:

The Originals line ($35) of flexible, soft-soled infant shoes are recommended by pediatricians and podiatrists, as they mimic barefoot walking for ages 0-24 months. Our Originals garnered compliments for both Big Sister E and Little Sister B when they showed them off in those early months and I couldn't have been happier knowing their developing little feet were protected!

This season, 12 new styles have been added to the Originals collection that include great options for brightening up your little one's wardrobe as well as ultra breathable choices for outdoor adventures.

girls athletic shoesThen there is the Grip 'n' Go line ($39-$48), featuring the same benefits as the Originals but with special G2 Technology for active toddlers that are transitioning to walking with a more confident stride. What perfect shoes for those increasingly faster and faster steps of children 9 months - 3 years and in EU sizes 19-23.

This season, the Grip 'n' Go collection highlights Memory Foam Technology in many new styles as well as great new athletic styles that are machine washable and water-safe.

Finally, the Flex collection ($48 to $57) is the ultimate shoe for established, confident walkers who have developed a solid, natural stride. This line offers more than 50 styles covering an array of color options throughout their sandals, Mary Janes, ballet flats, athletics, water-safe, eco-friendly Adventure Line, washable athletic shoes and more in EU sizes 20-36.

pediped Flex Evangeline

Having adored our previous pediped experiences, Big Sister E and I couldn't wait to see what pair would arrive for her to celebrate the near-arrival of spring.

Just in time for the snow to start melting, when we pulled the Flex Sahara in Lavender/Turquoise out of the box, there was instantly no doubt that we need warm weather to arrive now.

pediped flex sahara sandals

Part of the pediped Adventure Line, these rugged sandals are water-safe, washable and comfortable, while still being plenty stylish to please any girl's fashion sense. Featuring protective toe caps to prevent unfortunate stubbing (as well as preventing playground wood chips from poking directly into the front), these light-weight shoes are perfect for school, play dates, everyday wear and more.

These modern sandals are water safe and washable and the Velcro closure makes them extremely easy to get on and off. Is there any parent that wouldn't breathe a sigh of relief knowing that their child can go from playground to mud puddles to splashing at the pool and then have their shoes go directly into the washing machine for easy care?

pediped review

The comfort, the appearance, the eco-friendly materials — it all comes together to result in a really great pair of sandals that Big Sister E has been extremely excited about and can't wait to wear! C'mon spring!

pediped spring sandals

pediped footwear is sold in over 2,500 stores in the United States and 40 countries worldwide with an offering of more than 140 designs for boys and girls between their three lines (available in EU sizes ranging from 17 to 36).

There is no doubt that each and every pair features pediped's signature comfortable fit along with a broadened range of colors and fabrics. Their exceptional quality, unsurpassed comfort and distinctive styling have made this award-winning company one of the fastest-growing children's footwear brands in the United States.

The most important thing I look for is that they are comfortable and stay tied/on!

We are collectively insane, I think, the way we continue to BUY over-rounded toe box shoes! Trace your kids' feet- their feet are NOT shaped like the round toe shoes are! No wonder we get bad feet later in life. I insist on W I D E and deep toe boxes! And flexible soles. It is SO so super important.

I make sure it's the right fit. My son has narrow fit but at times narrow is just too narrow and I've had to go with a wide, so I make sure that I try several sizes and width.

The most important feature for me is quality, it is amazing how fast kids feet grow and how some brands can't even stand up to that short period of time of use!
