BabyPop Designs {Review & Giveaway} Custom-made capes, crowns, masks and more for your superhero

{This giveaway is now closed - congratulations, Tiffany D!}

A few months ago, Big Sister E decided she wanted to be Superman. I'm not sure where the idea came from or if she even really knew who Superman was, but the idea was squarely in her mind.

Thankfully, there have been two big positive outcomes that have come from this development. One, it seems to have encouraged Big Sister E to be much more helpful. For instance, the question, "Can you put that toy away and then turn off the light in the playroom?" isn't met with a shrug or a whine, instead she calls out, "Superhero E--- can DO IT!" and runs off to the other room. I sure don't have any complaints about this aspect.

Two, the fact that Big Sister E was already so excited about being a superhero, that Little Sister B wants to do everything that her sister does and that BabyPop Designs makes the most incredible Superhero Capes around has led to some incredibly fun times around here. Not to mention photographs that are in the running as being some of my most favorite of all times.

Pretty darn cute, aren't they? But wait, there are a few more that I love as well...

BabyPop Design's slogan, "Saving one backyard at a time," couldn't have been more fitting from the moment we laid eyes on the Kids' Superhero Capes and Superhero Masks that we received. Both girls stood silently admiring the beautiful colors for a minute before the eagerness to wear their very own costume kicked in and they were clamoring for me to hand them over.

As BabyPop Design's founder, Sherry Aikens, is a veteran in the apparel industry, her garment-making skills were clearly evident as I helped turn my daughters into superheros. Each seam on the capes was professionally finished, the Velcro closure was strong and secure and the felt circles and letters were just plain adorable.

Even better, I later found out that the felt used to embellish these capes was made from recycled soda bottles - meaning that kids can actually help save the environment while on their quest to save the world!

One quick touch of the masks left me very impressed with the way the satin and felt were fused together, creating a soft, comfortable feel against your face and a shiny, great-looking outer layer. By using grommets and an elastic strap, it was great that I was able to adjust each one to fit Big Sister E and Little Sister B just right.

That is, if they were willing to stand still long enough for me to do so...

The 22-inch length of these capes was perfect on both girls and will easily grow with them for years to come. I loved watching the satin billow behind them as they ran and seeing just how cute they were peeking out behind the masks. These outfits will definitely be staples in our dress-up wardrobe for a long, long time.

For such high quality and incredibly cute style, BabyPop capes and masks are also extremely affordable (and are available directly on their website or on Etsy). A Superhero Mask comes in two different styles and 11 great colors for only $4.50. And these great capes can be personalized in so many different ways: choose your color, logo (background shape), letter and more for $16.00. There are even fun additions like a cupcake or a rocket, a second letter or gift wrap to make giving easy - and what a great gift!

For a real treat, BabyPop Designs also offers Superhero Gloves, Tee Shirts, Crowns and complete Superhero or Princess Cape Sets, as well as capes for teddy bears, pets and adults. Considering all that moms do every day, don't you think we should all be encouraged to wear a Super Mom cape? Forget accessorizing with jewelry, I just need a cape to finish my outfits from now on!

For a gift that any child is sure to treasure, BabyPop Designs has the ability to make their superhero dreams come true. With the option to give a cape to a child in need when making a purchase, I love that BabyPop really wants all children to be able to experience being a superhero, no matter what situation they are in. All children deserve to be able to save their backyard!

Also, thanks to the generosity of BabyPop Designs, one person will soon have a superhero at their house as well, because...
