Nutrisystem {Week 7}

It has been seven weeks on Nutrisystem already? How is that possible?

Each week that I get ready to write my weigh-in post, I do stop for a minute and think about this experience and just how much I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of the Nutrisystem Nation... but today, on Valentine's Day, there's something more.

I've mentioned that Nutrisystem provides support along with their tasty food, but really, it's so much more than that. From even before I took my first bite, I was welcomed into the Nutrisystem Family with open arms and there was no doubt that I was part of a journey where I was a valued member.

Each week I am inspired by the stories of people far and wide that are losing weight with this program and, when I post my own update (no matter how big or small), the feedback and encouragement makes me want this even more. I know that at any time I could call or email any number of the people who are a part of the program and that they would answer my questions or listen to me vent or just be there to support me.

Nutrisystem even showed me a little extra love since last week in honor of reaching the milestone of having lost 10 pounds. How cute is this?

The card that came along with this NutriBear (her name is Pound) says this: "Pound says congratulations on your initial weight loss. She's here to keep you motivated as you continue toward your goal weight." How sweet! It's just something small and, even though Pound has pretty much been claimed by Little Sister B, looking at it really does help motivate me.

Seeing that big 10 on the front and back makes it seem so much more real, you know? 10 pounds! And now I just want to work even harder to get Pound a friend - one with a 20 - to hang out with!

So, here it is Valentine's Day and, unfortunately, that usually means a little extra eating is involved. One of my good friends had a party yesterday that involved fun decorations and lots of cookie decorating and...

I tried. Really, I did. But the bowls of heart-shaped pasta were a little too inviting and I maybe had a chocolate-covered strawberry... or two. But I still felt (and hoped) that I didn't stray from Nutrisystem too badly.

Also, I had stepped on the scale a few times during the week and it hadn't moved an ounce every time, so the combination of the party and the seemingly-stuck scale made me even more surprised to get on this morning and see...

Starting weight: Too much
Week 1: -3 lbs
Week 2: -3 lbs
Week 3: -1 lbs
Week 4: -1.4 lbs
Week 5: -1 lbs
Week 6: -0.8 lbs
Week 7: -0.8 lbs

Total loss: 11 lbs

Again, I'll take it! Every .8 counts! Little by little I'm inching closer to my goal and I couldn't be happier about it. I love you, Nutrisystem!

This Valentine's Day, Nutrisystem can make it possible to not only show your love for your family and significant other, but for yourself and your health. Check them out today to see what they can do to help you love the person you are all year long!

It sounds like Nutrisystem really does have a good support system. The bear seems like a great encouragement too. It's so nice to see you are still on the way to your goal. Congrats again!
