LeapFrog Touch Magic "Rock 'n Learn" Party {#LeapFrogTouchMagic}

As a mom, I'm constantly attempting to encourage and support my children in all that they do... as well as their plans for future endeavors.

When Big Sister E says she wants to be a teacher when she grows up, I tell her that she will be a wonderful teacher. When Little Sister B chimes in and says that she wants to be a princess astronaut? Well, I'm just sure to point out that she can be whatever she wants. If anyone can figure out how to fit a tiara underneath their space helmet, it's this kid.

One profession that both girls have mentioned more than once is being a rock star. After all, who hasn't dreamed of being a rock star at some point in their life?

Fortunately, LeapFrog, the brand that knows that children learn more when they're having fun, has managed to make being a rock star an educational option with their Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar and their line of Touch Magic learning toys.

LeapFrog Touch Magic

LeapFrog is known as a leader in education innovation throughout the world. Their award-winning learning toys, interactive book and map experiences, reading systems, educational gaming handhelds and learning tablets are age-appropriate, trusted by parents, valued by teachers and loved by children.

Which is why I wasn't surprised to hear that LeapFrog has developed their Touch Magic line to bring intuitive touch technology to preschool toys for the first time. Combining fun, learning and creativity, these new learning toys use touch technology that recognizes every tap, touch and swipe to bring each product to life.

And what better way to celebrate that than with a LeapFrog Touch Magic "Rock 'n Learn" Party?

LeapFrog party

I love seeing my kids have fun and I love seeing my kids learn, so when two Touch Magic Rockin' Guitars, a Touch Magic Learning Bus, and a handful of recipes, games, activities and more arrived, I was excited to see my girls and their friends have the opportunity to spend a day being entertained in an educational way.

Just as I suspected, we had a blast! The kids were instantly curious about the Rockin' Guitars and Learning Bus, as the smooth, shiny, colorful appearance exudes fun. It didn't take long before we were snacking, cutting, coloring... and rockin' out!

The Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar has the ability to bring musical fun while developing preschool skills with every little touch. The kids easily figured out how to tap the power button and that, as with a real guitar, you are able to play solo without a backup, play along with a band or select acoustic or electric guitar modes.

Including the popular songs Itsy Bitsy Spider, If You're Happy and You Know It, The Alphabet Song, Rockin' Robin, Pop Goes the Weasel and more, this guitar provided plenty of fun tunes for the kids to sing along. Add in the fact that they can customize their play experience by adding guitar riffs, silly sounds and drums (there is even applause!) and they were pretty much ready to take their show on tour.

Although LeapFrog recommends the Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar for children ages 3+ years, I think that younger children would love it as well (just remove the strap to ensure that they won't get tangled in it). It is easily lightweight and durable enough for little hands, has a volume control for when you need to turn down the decibel of the rock concert, and leads to laughter, creativity, increased motor skills, confidence, and a whole lot of fun.

A major bonus of the Rockin' Guitar and the entire Touch Magic line is their ability to last a long time and clean up easily. As opposed to a traditional child guitar that has knobs, strings and pieces that can be broken off and that allows the dirt and grime from sticky little hands to get into all the crevices, LeapFrog made theirs all one piece that can be wiped clean instantly. Love it!

LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar review

Retailing for $24.99, the LeapFrog Touch Magic Rockin' Guitar can be purchased directly from LeapFrog, on Amazon.com, at Target or at other major retailers.

When the kids weren't dancing, shaking and singing along with the guitars, the Touch Magic Learning Bus also proved to be a big hit for many of the same reasons. They were drawn to the bright colors and cute characters featured on the bus and immediately wanted to press on the letters to see what would happen... and I wasn't going to stop them from practicing their ABCs!

LeapFrog Touch Magic Learning Bus

The Learning Bus is a combination of a musical journey with educational discovery and games. With a simple touch, the six piano keys and two drum pads play along with songs that include Wheels on the Bus, ABC Song and an original Rockin' School Bus.

The glossy, smooth graphics encourage exploration and feature more than 40 touch points that allow kids to play their way through core learning concepts. All of our party attendees really enjoyed the music and animal sounds and all parents can appreciate the way that this interactive toy provides educational play, letter and sound recognition, encourages early reading skills and is generally just a whole lot of fun!

LeapFrog Touch Magic review

While we have long loved LeapFrog and the way that their unique toys and learning solutions provide entertainment as well as educational advancement, the addition of the Touch Magic line fits right in. Kids are able to express their creative, musical abilities all while practicing their ABCs, improving their fine motor skills and more.
