Change Your Clock Change Your Battery with Energizer {Family Safety Kit Review & Giveaway}

Energizer logo
You know the stereotype about seniors who constantly complain about some aspect that can't be changed? Like inflation or their ailing health or the weather? I'm already prepared to fulfill my role doing just that 30 years from now.

I already even have my topic of choice: Daylight Saving Time.

Twice a year I find myself myself moaning and groaning about how early it gets dark in the evening or having my kids wake up an hour before the crack of dawn or my frustration level over just about everything that has to do with Daylight Saving Time. Whoever decided that we would go through this every spring and fall, I have a strong word or two for them (and quite a few instances of shaking my angry fist as well).

However, since it doesn't look like this tradition is going anywhere anytime soon, I can at least focus on the positives of Daylight Saving Time. One main one: the annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery program.

This fall, Daylight Saving Time occurs on November 4 and marks the 25th anniversary of the annual Change Your Clock Change Your Battery program. This program focuses on not only changing our clocks but also that Daylight Saving Time is the perfect time for families to adopt a life-saving habit: changing the batteries in your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.

The message is simple and the habit can be lifesaving. Thirty-eight percent of fatal fire injuries occur in homes without working smoke alarms, while 24% occur in homes in which at least one smoke alarm is present but fails to operate (frequently due to dead or missing batteries). Don't be another statistic!

Energizer and the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) are once again working with local fire departments nationwide to raise awareness on the importance of working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors in helping to keep families safe in their homes. How can you get involved? Head over to the Energizer Facebook page and browse their large amount of Fire Safety Info!

Fire Safety Info

Now through November 4, when you visit the Energizer Bunny Facebook page and click on the Fire Safety Info Tab, you'll not only find great tips, a home escape plan, and coloring and activity sheets, you will also have the chance to enter a sweepstakes to win a Family Safety Kit — Energizer is giving away one per day for 25 days! Contained in the kit, valued at more than $150 is:
  • One reusable grocery tote
  • Two Kidde Battery-Operated Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarms
  • One package of Energizer Advanced Lithium batteries
  • One package of Energizer MAX Batteries with Power Seal Technology
  • Two Energizer flashlights
  • Two Energizer Flameless Wax Candles
  • One Energizer Bunny Plush Bunny
The Change Your Clock Change Your Battery program is just one of the ways Energizer brings to life the company's commitment to making a positive impact in communities across the country.

Don't let another season go by without checking your smoke alarm and changing the battery! This year use the extra hour "gained" to remind your friends, family and neighbors of this life-saving habit and join Energizer in promoting this important fire safety method.

And, thanks to their generosity, one person will be able to be fully prepared for safety because...

One lucky person will win a Family Safety Kit*
(ARV $78) from Energizer!

Kit includes: (1) Kidde Battery-Operated Combination Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarm, (2) packages of Energizer MAX Batteries with Power Seal Technology, (1) Energizer Flameless Wax Candle, (1) Energizer Weatheready Safety Light flashlight, and (1) Change your Clock, Change your Battery reusable tote bag

(Enter with the Rafflecopter form below. If you have any questions or problems entering, there is a video tutorial found here that can help.)

a Rafflecopter giveaway

A big thank you to Energizer for providing a Family Safety Kit for me as well as for one lucky giveaway winner. The opinions shared are my own and honest and if you really need to see more, click here to see how I roll.
