Barney: Big World Adventure - The Movie DVD {Review}

Barney logoEarlier this year we had the chance to view Barney: Mother Goose Collection and, although I couldn't imagine being that interested in a big purple dinosaur, that's how things seem to have ended up.

He's big, he's purple and he takes kids on a super-dee-duper journey in each and every television, online and live event that he's a part of. What is there for kids not to love?

And, I have to admit, I do see why this friendly dinosaur is not only an Emmy winner but is one of the top-rated preschool shows today. The way that he displays sharing, caring, imagination, and learning is something that I'm glad my girls want to watch and I always hope that they take away the positive lessons of the show.

So when Barney: Big World Adventure - The Movie arrived, I hoped that it would continue to be helpful in the encouragement and teachings that Barney has provided so far.

Barney Big World AdventureAvailable today, September 13, from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment, Barney: Big World Adventure - The Movie can be enjoyed on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand. This colossal adventure follows Barney on a trip to Spain, Kenya and China, where he meets new friends and learns about various cultures.

Barney Big AdventureViewers get to climb aboard with Barney, Ben and Emma as they embark on a world adventure in this all-new movie and see just how far their imaginations can take them. Together they'll encounter princesses and kings, musicians and magicians, and puppeteers and artists across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.

As the trio experiences new cultures and languages from around the world, Barney demonstrates the importance of the most universal language of all: friendship.

Barney World AdventureWith a 60-minute running time and two DVD bonus features (Big Balloon Adventure Game and BJ's Elephant Adventure Game), adding Barney: Big World Adventure - The Movie to any young child's video collection is easy to do. I want to expose my children to as many cultures and ways to learn about the world as possible, so if through song and dance with Barney is how it's going to happen, then I'm all for it!

Retailing for $14.98 (or $11.99 on Amazon), ages 1-5 are sure to get into the fun and excitement that Barney and his pals encounter during their escapades of this DVD. Find out more by visit Barney online as well as on Facebook.

(Other than the DVD copy of Barney: Big World Adventure - The Movie that I received from Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment, I was not provided with anything or enticed to do this post in any way. This review is solely my opinion of this show and this DVD.)
