Celebrate Father's Day with Cards from Treat {Review & Giveaway}

Treat logo
I find it hard to believe that Mother's Day came and went this year already — shouldn't this holiday be celebrated at least a dozen more times in 2012? Or stretched out to a month instead of just one Sunday?

Alas, it's time to shift the focus to the upcoming Father's Day and instead let the men in our lives have a little time in the limelight. My husband truly is a wonderful dad all year long, so there's no better day to tell him just how much the girls and I appreciate everything that he does for us.

Traditionally I would start looking for just the right words to express our love at our favorite online site for cards, invitations and much more, Tiny Prints. However, this year Tiny Prints has a new partner site called Treat that offers personalized greeting cards that are perfect for just about every occasion — and their large selection of Father's Day cards ensures that there is one that will be perfect for the husband, dad, grandfather and father figure in your life.

Father's Day cards

With hundreds of cards available only a click or two, right away it is easy to see that Treat has stylish, modern options to fit your design needs. Plus, with the option to add cards quickly to your My Favorites list, you'll be able to narrow down your favorites and then compare your top picks easily. I love the convenience!

When it comes to picking out just the right card for my husband, the hardest part is knowing where to begin. While a card from the Heartfelt or Appreciation categories would work well, I always find myself leaning towards the Funny cards. You just can't go wrong with a laugh, right?

The So Alike makes me chuckle with the adorable photo of a father and his son...

Like Father Like Son

...while the Rest My Eyes gives me reason to nod as I think about all the times that my husband starts snoring within minutes of sitting down to watch a show.

But the Weekend Warrior especially makes me happy, as my husband does an amazing job of spending time with both of our girls every weekend for a bonding experience that they all enjoy!

Even better, Treat has a few key features that work to make your experience even easier:
  • Your first Treat card is free! Use the promo code FREETREAT at checkout.
  • You can add a gift card to top retailers (such as Amazon, iTunes, Target and more) in any greeting card so that your complete gift is ready to be sent.
  • Never forget a birthday again — import birthdays from Facebook and set up reminders.
  • Schedule cards for delivery — up to a year in advance!
Whether for Father's Day, graduation, a wedding or just for an out-of-the-blue hello, Treat has a card that your recipient will love... and you will feel good about mailing. As all of the modern, colorful designs are easily customized online with your favorite photos, fonts, colors and messages so you know that you will not only be making someone's day, but will be doing it in an extremely high quality and affordable way that you can be proud to send out.

Plus, thanks to their generosity, one person will get to bring some sunshine to the people in their life, because...

sometimes heartfelt, sometimes religious, sometimes funny. Just depends on who the card is for and what the reason is.

It depends on who it is for... For Daddy, we usually make photo cards that are sweet. For my parents or brother, I usually go with humorous.

I always try to get a card at Christmas with the Lamb & Lion or a Dove. I like the idea of Peace. Other than that my choices are individual.

I am not very "mushy" demonstrative type, so I end up always getting humorous cards. Except when humor would not be appropriate, of course. These are very nice cards!
