One that I'm not overly looking forward to, however, is the bi-annual dentist appointments that Big Sister E and I have planned in January. While she tends to leave with a glowing report, a new toothbrush and toothpaste, and a toy in honor of doing so well during the cleaning, I typically leave with my head hung after getting my usual scolding for not working hard enough at oral hygiene as I should.
Not exactly my idea of a great day, but at least I am usually pleased knowing that my daughter is still learning good habits.
Fortunately, next month when I head in and open wide, I'm looking forward to receiving praise over my oral health due to switching out my regular toothbrush for the Oral-B ProfessionalCare Precision 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush.
Part of the Procter & Gamble Company since 2006, the Oral-B brand is a worldwide leader in toothbrushes that are used by more dentists than any other brand across the globe. Their vast array of products includes manual and power toothbrushes for children and adults, oral irrigators, oral care centers and interdental products, such as dental floss. Pretty much everything you need for a sparkling clean mouth!
When the Precision 1000 arrived, I was ready to put it to the test and see how much of a difference it could make in the health of my mouth.
As I pulled this rechargeable toothbrush out of the packaging, it was easy to see that it would be extremely easy to put it to use.
After simply attaching the unique round brush head (its design is inspired by the round shape of professional dental cleaning tools) to the handle...
...all I had to do was plug in the charging unit and leave the toothbrush to charge up overnight.
While I had heard that, due to being at the forefront of cutting edge technology, Oral-B power toothbrushes remove more plaque than a regular manual toothbrush, it took until I began using this one to see how true that statement is.
The rounded shape of the head allows the toothbrush to surround each tooth for individual cleaning, and the unique oscillating, rotating and pulsating movement (20,000 pulsating movements per minute) lets this toothbrush reach deep between teeth and along the gum line. The result is not only a thorough, tooth-by-tooth clean, but up to 5x more plaque removed along the gums!
Look at that baby spin! |
As well as the oral care benefits, I appreciate each of the features that Oral-B put into the ProfessionalCare Precision 1000, as everything from the waterproof, ergonomic handle to the easy-to-read charge level display makes it even easier to use.
I especially love the Indicator bristles that fade halfway as a reminder to replace your toothbrush head for a better clean (as I'm not very good at remembering to do this on my own every few months), the included pressure sensor that stops pulsations in the event that I'm brushing too hard, and the quadrant pacing signals in the handle.
These help guide the user to getting all four sections of their mouth for the recommended 30 seconds each and the full brushing time of two minutes — at which time a longer signal shows that the full brushing time has been reached.
Overall, it is easy to see why Oral-B receives such praise from dentists as well as customers, as the Oral-B ProfessionalCare Precision 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush has proven to be a high quality, dependable, durable product that leaves my mouth feeling clean and shiny!
With a suggested retail price of $74.99, this great toothbrush can be found at stores near you or online at Amazon.com (currently for only $35.99)!
Even better, Oral-B stands behind all of their products and will work to ensure that you are 100% satisfied. You owe it to your teeth and gums to give them the very best care around!
Thanks to the generosity of Oral-B, one person will be able to do just that, because...
One lucky person will win an Oral-B ProfessionalCare Precision 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush!

Flossing!
I was just to the dentist, and he recommended this very toothbrush, because I apparently have gum disease because I am not good at removing plaque at the gumline.

I have horrible plaque buildup. I brush, floss and use mouth wash! My dentist cleanings are still horrible. I struggle with that.

Keeping up with two brushes a day is OK, but really I know they say to brush when you CAN after snacks and meals AND drinks that can cause decay or discoloring. That is my dental drawback, not remembering to go the extra mile to do brushing after EVERY meal or snack, and especially occasional soda and also coffee.
Thanks!

I don't struggle with my oral care, but more so struggle with my toddlers. He's 3, it's a daily battle of getting in that mouth to brush, he wants to do it himself but he's just chewing the brush. I know it's a learned skill ... this one annoys me :/
I struggle with getting my son to brush regularly, he has sensory issues and really dislikes the feel of the tooth brush and paste in his mouth. My personal problem is cavities between teeth bc my teeth are kinda smashed together!
