Comfy Sacks: The Ultimate Bean Bag Chair {Review & Giveaway}

{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, Tami!}

When I was a kid, I always wanted a Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine and I can remember putting it on my Christmas list year after year.

But when it finally arrived? Eh, it wasn't all that great. It was a lot of work to crush the ice and the sugar syrup was always so sticky... in the end it went back into a box somewhere and I was forever disappointed that the real thing hadn't lived up to what I had hoped.

Something else that I always imagined was great until I actually tried it? Bean bag chairs. The idea was there but the comfort? Not so much. You could feel the little round balls inside and am I the only one that was bothered by the swishing sound that they made when you sat down? All in all, they were yet another letdown.

Until now. Along with all of the advancements and breakthroughs that have happened in the past few decades, the bean bag chair has also been completely transformed. And now it's something different and much, much better thanks to ComfySacks.com.

The ultimate in bean bag chairs, a Comfy Sack or Lounger (the only difference being that a Sack is round and a Lounger is oval) is more than just a high quality piece of furniture for any room of your house. Yes, these are oversize bean bag chairs, but they're more than that really. These are extremely comfortable, very durable, available in an endless number of color and size options, and are just... really cool.

When our 6 ft Sack arrived, it took quite a bit of effort on my part to get the box inside the front door - it does weigh 68 pounds, after all.

Try as I might, due to how tightly the Sack was tucked inside, the only way I ended up being able to get it out of the box was to cut the box down the side (but that also could have been in part that I was a little over-eager to get it out).

Making sure to be extremely careful with the scissors, I finally got the cardboard pulled off and found a box-shaped, air-compressed Comfy Sack waiting for me.

As I wanted to keep the 6 ft Sack a secret from the kids until it was fully expanded, I pulled it into our guest bedroom and left it there to puff up. Comfy Sacks had mentioned that it can take anywhere from two days to a week for the Sack to fully expand, so I figured I would leave it there a little while before unveiling the surprise.

However, a few hours later when my husband arrived home from work, he went into the bedroom and called me in immediately. The puffiness! The commercial grade shredded polyurethane foam had inflated so much that we were concerned that the Sack wasn't going to fit through the doorway!

After putting the kids to bed, it took both of us to get it out, put the machine-washable cover on (washable! Yay!) and step back to see just how awesome this product truly is.

Measuring 6 ft x 6 ft x 3 ft, the 6 ft Comfy Sack is plenty large enough to fit two adults but is also small enough to fit in most apartments and houses. Whether you put it in your home theater, living room, bedroom or any place where family and friends want to relax and enjoy it, this really is the perfect couch for lounging, a place for the whole family to watch a movie, a bed for a cozy nap or just a really unique chair for hanging out or playing video games.

As we had decided on putting it right in our play room, I couldn't wait to see the kids' initial reactions.

As you can see in the video, once they got over the shock they were understandably pretty excited about our Comfy Sack... and the love has only continued since that first moment. But how could they not be? The 6 ft Sack seems big to me, so for them it is downright huge!

It's hard to describe the comfort that comes from relaxing on a Comfy Sack, but it is truly pretty incredible. The shredded foam inside is like taking your couch cushions and turning them from one solid, straight piece into a pile of soft, fluffy cloud-like goodness. Everyone who has come to our house has been amazed by how fun it is to sit or lay on our Sack and my mother-in-law has already declared that she is going to sleep on it the next time they stay overnight at our house!

After having had and enjoyed this huge bean bag chair for a while, I can see why Comfy Sacks is proud to stand behind each one of their products. Everything from their three year warranty to the huge variety of colors and fabrics (they'll even send out free samples so that you can be sure to get a perfect match for your décor) to the fact that these are 100% made in the USA... well, you can't go wrong.

My kids have easily proven the durability and craftsmanship of ours, as at any given point in the day they can be found doing anything from resting quietly to diving and rolling down from the top. They love it!

The 6 ft Comfy Sack has an original retail price of $356.25 but is on sale now for $285 with, get this, a shipping cost of $1.oo!

If having something this big seems like it might be too much for your house but you know your child would still love the comfort of a great bean bag chair, Comfy Sacks has the answer: the Kids Lounger! A 48" x 22" x 29" option that weighs 13 pounds, this is just right for kids to hang out and relax in any of the four great color options. Your child will be thrilled!
