Bambo Nature Eco-Friendly Disposable Diapers {Review & Giveaway}

{This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations, Mary Jane Ven, Kristen, Mommy, Amylynn, Carole Spring, and Lloyd Family!}

The world of diapers has changed in so many ways over the years.

However, whereas cloth diapers have transformed from pins and hassles to snaps and convenience, disposable diapers have... stayed the same. They're still fast and easy to use, but the statistics on their impact on the environment haven't really changed, not to mention the chemicals that are in them that rest against a baby's sensitive skin.

But at some point all moms will use disposable diapers on their baby, whether when out or during travel or with a babysitter, so what else is there besides the standard brands that are found on store shelves that we know aren't the best choice but seem to be the only option?

There's Bambo Nature, of course!

Eco-friendly disposable diapers? Yes, they exist. Bambo Nature are ultra premium disposable diapers with unsurpassed quality and absorbency that come from a company that goes to extreme lengths to minimize all impact on the environment.

Not only are the raw materials used completely green, they have very strict requirements for their production, as well as packaging and distribution methods that focus on reducing waste and the use of fuels. The earth benefits during the creation process and, considering that Bambo Nature diapers are 80% biodegradable (more than 3 times as much as other brands), it benefits again at the end. Amazing!

They are even the only baby diaper in the world to have been awarded the Nordic Swan Eco-label, guaranteeing that the product is audited and certified free of all dangerous chemicals and all known allergens. The result is a high quality, skin-friendly and eco-friendly diaper that all parents can be happy to use with their children.

After seeing the long list of ingredients that aren't included in Bambo Nature diapers (e.g. chlorine, phthalates, formaldehyde, perfumes, lotions, etc) and knowing how great they are for the environment, I was eager to try them out with Little Sister B.

To say that Little Sister B was slightly eager herself might be somewhat of an understatement.

Opening the packages up, I was interested to compare the difference between the size 4 and the size 4+ diapers that we had received. As size 4 is designed for 18 - 40 pounds and size 4+ for 26 to 48 pounds, would there really be much difference?

It turns out that the higher waistline on the 4+ really is noticeable and makes it so that this size might be better for an especially tall child or one that sleeps on their stomach. I think it's great that there are two options available in this size range so that parents can find and choose the custom fit that is right for their baby.

As well as the sizes, right away I noticed the lack of scent and the incredible softness of these diapers. Without the perfumes, chemicals, and dyes, I knew that I would be able to feel good about having these on Little Sister B's skin, as well as hopefully help keep away the reoccurring diaper rash that she seems to get every other week or so.

I had assumed that all-natural diapers would feel different that regular, but really hadn't thought that Bambo Nature would be as velvety soft as they were. They feel so smooth and silky!

When it came time for the true testing, both sizes of the Bambo Nature diapers passed with flying colors. They are extremely absorbent (better than the disposables we had been using) and the adjustable fit allowed Little Sister B to be as active as she is without ever having even the tiniest of leaks.

Overall, I was very happy with these diapers not only on their performance but that I do believe that they really did help lessen my little girl's diaper rash. During the whole time we used Bambo Nature, she only had a tiny redness once or twice, which is a major difference to how bright and raw it can get with traditional diapers.

I love the idea that something so non-toxic and hypoallergenic for my daughter can also be so eco-friendly and beneficial for the earth. Bambo Nature has every aspect of their product ingredients and their dedication to the environment right on their website for public viewing so you will never have to worry or question if purchasing these high quality diapers is the right thing to do.

Prices vary depending on the size of the diaper as well as if you select a bag or a case, but Bambo Nature does cost slightly more than the leading brands out there. But if taking the best care of your baby and the future of the environment is worth it to you, then a few more cents per diaper won't make a difference. Plus, to make the price tag even lower, simply enter the coupon code mailcarrier at checkout and receive 10% off of your order!

And, thanks to the generosity of Bambo Nature, six people will get to experience the luxurious softness, wonderful dependability, and exceptional convenience of these diapers as well, because...

Two grand prize winners will receive a case of diapers and four runners up will receive a bag of diapers from Bambo Nature!

To enter to win: Visit the Bambo Nature, browse around, and tell me something that you learned there or why you would like to try these diapers.

I think it's great that they certify that no "known substances classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic, harmful, causing allergy, or locally irritating or sensitizing have been added during the production of the raw material or used during production of the finished product."
