As with all children, my kids can be unpredictable. Just when I think that they are so tired that they'll fall asleep, they find a second (or third) wind. Times when I'm positive that I know their favorite movie or game, their tastes will change. And don't even get me started on guessing what thoughts or ideas will pop out of their mouths when I least expect them.
When it comes to food, however, I can always count on my girls to be ready to eat — they even do a great job trying new things! But that doesn't mean that I don't worry about them getting enough healthy fruits and vegetables for their growing bodies... or that I still spend a large amount of time reminding or negotiating about eating them.
Which is why I love the ability to include Peter Rabbit Organics and their full line of fruit and veggie puree snacks as an innovative and convenient addition to our meals at home or on-the-go.
By taking pure, organic fruits such as strawberries and bananas and turning them into a thick, smooth puree in an extremely convenient BPA-free pouch, having Peter Rabbit Organics on hand is a fast and easy way to know that your child is getting the nutrition that they need in a tasty, portable way.
Having been first introduced to Peter Rabbit Organics years ago with their organic fruit snacks and then again with their veggie line, I was thrilled to hear that the collection had grown to include five new flavors.
These new flavor combinations, inspired by customer feedback, help parents squeeze more fruits and veggies into their kids’ diets through the use of familiar base flavors such as apple and banana. They include:
- Peach and Apple
- Banana and Apple
- Pear and Apple
- Pear and Pea
- Pumpkin, Carrot and Apple
- Apple and Grape
- Mango, Banana and Orange
- Strawberry and Banana
- Pea, Spinach and Apple
- Sweet Potato, Corn and Apple
- Carrot, Squash and Apple
Each Peter Rabbit Organics pouch contains 100% USDA certified organic fruit, with no added sugar, preservatives or artificial ingredients and provides 100% of the recommended servings of fruit and/or vegetables for kids. You won’t have to read the label – the fruit you see on the front is what’s inside!
If you do read the label, however, you’ll find that these snacks are high in vitamin C, have between 60 and 90 calories, 0 fat (of course – it’s fruit!) and 1.5-2 grams of fiber.
I have always loved how easy these pouches are to hold in your hand (even for small hands) and that they are incredibly portable for tossing into a diaper bag, lunch box or purse and knowing that they won't break, spill or even require a spoon. Just open the top and treat it like a straw! With no refrigeration necessary, they're an extremely convenient way to include good nutrition just about anywhere.
Even better? My kids adore them!
We have yet to meet a flavor of Peter Rabbit Organics that isn't a huge hit and my kids have never once balked at the idea of pureed spinach, peas, squash and more.
Even though we have never had the need to close the pouches back up (because they eat every last drop immediately!), I do really appreciate that Peter Rabbit Organics makes it possible to simply screw the cap back on their pouches and save the rest for later. No more wasted food!
Available on Amazon.com and Target.com with a price tag between $15 - $18 for a pack of 10, Peter Rabbit Organics' convenient pouches are a great way to include 100% organic vegetables and fruits (and nothing artificial) into kids' diets. If it takes being able to literally squeeze the nutrition, vitamins and wholesome additions in, that's fine with me!
Thanks to their generosity, one person will have the chance to see just how easy it is to include fruits and vegetables in their kids' lives in an innovative, delicious way, because...
