Fortunately, I always know that we can't go wrong with art supplies as the entire world is a canvas when you're a kid! My girls enjoy sitting down to draw, paint and in general let their creativity shine whenever possible, but when it comes to summer vacation, I always turn to the one name that knows how to take art and make it portable: Crayola.
This summer, Crayola is helping young artists take their imagination on the road with products that are designed to be entertaining and inspiring in their Color Wonder and Dry Erase lines.
Whether to pull out at home on a rainy (or too hot) day or for capturing summer vacation in works of art, Crayola can help keep kids occupied anytime and anywhere... but are especially perfect for travel. Parents can enjoy peace and quiet on the flight or drive while kids are occupied expressing their creativity without making a mess.
As we have always been fans of Crayola products, I had no doubt that my girls would be excited about getting to show off their art skills with a variety of Color Wonder and Dry Erase items.
Where to even begin?
The Crayola Color Wonder Coloring Pad and Color Wonder Drawing Pad allow kids to draw what they see outside their car window or daydream and draw whatever they imagine. These classics come in many different varieties that boast the amazing property wherein the markers only leave a mark on special Color Wonder paper.
I have no idea about the science behind these pads and markers, but I love knowing that my kids can only color
on the paper and that marker can't accidentally end up on furniture, carpet, walls, clothing, etc. Depending on the options, these convenient, portable, mess-proof pads retail approximately $5.49 - $11.99 from Crayola or on Amazon.com.We have used these (with blank pages for complete creativity or with illustrations to fill in) at home, for long- and short-distance travel, as well as simply to keep busy when waiting. Recently Little Sister B and a friend were getting antsy watching their older siblings play T-Ball, so I pulled these out and they were the perfect thing to keep them entertained and happy. They loved seeing the colors and designs magically appear!
Along our Color Wonder Coloring and Drawing Pads, we also brought along special friends with the Crayola Color Wonder Barbie Mini Coloring Pad and Markers. Consisting of 15 smaller pages, kids can enjoy coloring a variety of pictures featuring some of their favorite Barbie characters. Due to its small size, this fun coloring pad is perfect for tucking into a bag and bringing it with you wherever you go.
Retailing for $5.99, the Barbie Mini Coloring Pad and Markers (as well as other themes) can be purchased from Crayola or on Amazon.com.
Also great for traveling, the compact Color Wonder On the Go Tiny Tube boasts over 10 feet of coloring and lets kids tear off a perforated activity page for magical fun at home or on the road. I love that the sheets easily unroll so that kids can pull through to the next one, while the tube fits in the cup holder of a car or car seat easily.
The way that the included markets store right inside the tube makes this a perfect on-the-go activity — there is even adhesive-backing to the papers so that they stay in place while coloring. This small, portable product is great for allowing kids to easily create anything imaginable no matter how bumpy the turbulence!
The Crayola Color Wonder On the Go Tiny Tube retails for $8.49 and can be purchased directly from Crayola or on Amazon.com.
But if markers aren't enough for the little artist in your life, the Color Wonder Disney Princess Gift Set would make the perfect present (it retails for $17.99 from Crayola or on Amazon.com). This great set includes two Color Wonder Drawing and Color Pads, six markers and six gel paints. My kids have definitely loved the way that the paints appear somewhat clear in the container but then show up as their color on the paper!
If the convenience and entertainment of Crayola sounds good to you, but you would rather allow your children to create, erase, and create again, then Crayola Dry Erase products are just the thing. They allow kids to unleash their inner artist over and over without carrying around hundreds of sheets of paper.
I loved the way that the Crayola Dry Erase Travel Pack came all packed up and ready to go directly out of the packaging. No need to wonder if I'm forgetting something when this all-in-one features a dry erase surface, dry erase crayons, an eraser and a sharpener to help sustain hours of fun. The game and activity templates are easily interchangeable, so it's quick and easy for one child or multiple to enjoy the fun.
The Crayola Dry Erase Travel Pack retails for $11.99 directly from Crayola or a few dollars less on Amazon.com.
Finally, everyone can get in the game with the Crayola Dry Erase Zany Play Edition that comes with four bullet tip dry erase markers and boards that your family can use to play games like tic-tac-toe, the dot game and mazes.
It's easy to pull the different boards in and out from under the plastic tray and my kids have had a great time coloring separately, together, at home, in the car... there's nowhere that this compact desk-turned-whiteboard can't go!
The Crayola Dry Erase Zany Play Edition retails for $16.99 and is available from Crayola as well as on Amazon.com.
With options available in all sorts of characters and styles, it doesn't matter if the preference in your house is Toy Story, Cars, princesses, Dora, Scooby Doo, Winnie the Pooh, or many more, there is a Crayola Color Wonder or Dry Erase product that is sure to be loved! At the same time, moms and dads will appreciate the ease of mind that comes along with knowing that these are portable, convenient and mess-free.
And, thanks to the generosity of Crayola, one person will soon get to experience how much entertainment these products can provide in their house or as great gifts, because...
One lucky person will win a Crayola Summer Fun Gift Pack*!
*Gift Pack will include: Crayola Color Wonder On the Go Tiny Tube, Color Wonder Coloring Pad, Color Wonder Barbie Mini Coloring Pad and Markers, Color Wonder Drawing Pad and Markers, Dry Erase Travel Pack, Dry Erase Zany Play Edition, and Princess and the Frog Mess Free Color Wonder Activity Set
