Explore the Unexpected with Kraft Fresh Take {Grilling/Mealtime Prize Pack Giveaway}

Kraft logo
While summer is surely a great time of year in terms of playing outdoors, swimming, barbeques and more, it also seems to be more hectic when it comes to meal planning. Considering the number of hours that we spend on the go, it is no wonder that there aren't many left to browse recipes or devote to cooking.

So it's easy to say that parents everywhere are always on the lookout for ways to ease the struggle to keep meal options creative and entertaining without spending hours of prep time in the kitchen.

Fortunately, that is exactly what Kraft has done. This summer, Kraft Fresh Take can help us make something amazing and keep dinner time interesting with their convenient options, which provide you with a simple platform to create tasty meals while still saving time.

Kraft Fresh Take

Found in the dairy aisle, this simple meal kit consists of a cheese and breadcrumb mixture that gives you flavorful, crisp and cheesy dishes with only five minutes of prep time. Available in six flavor varieties — Southwest Three Cheese, Savory Four Cheese, Rosemary and Roasted Garlic, Italian Parmesan, Chili Lime and Panko, and Cheddar Jack and Bacon — Kraft Fresh Take couldn't be much easier to use for a quick and delicious meal!

As soon as I began browsing the recipes available on KraftFreshTake.com, it wasn't long before my mouth was watering over all of the possibilities that these convenient kits can provide. Whether using them to spice up an existing dish or crafting a completely new recipe based off of the flavor combinations, they really allow you to put a new twist on traditional summer meals of all kinds.

Kraft Fresh Take recipes

After quite a bit of decision-making, I opted to turn an item that tends to be pretty boring in our house into something much more interesting and delicious:

potato

That's right, the potato.

Instead of our usual bland baked potatoes, I saw the Kraft Fresh Take recipe for Twice-Baked Cheesy Potatoes and knew that it was something that would be a hit... not to mention just how easy it would be to follow!

Ingredients

6 baking potatoes, baked
1½ cups sour cream
4 green onions, chopped
1 pkg. Fresh Take Cheddar Jack & Bacon Recipe Cheese Breadcrumb Mix, mixed together

Directions

Heat oven to 375ยบ F. Cut potatoes lengthwise in half; scoop out centers into large bowl, leaving ¼" thick shells. Place shells on baking sheet.

Add sour cream, onions and ¾ cup cheese mixture to potato flesh; mix well. Spoon into shells; top with remaining cheese mixture. Bake 25 minutes or until heated through.

I altered the recipe slightly simply because when I went to purchase my package of Kraft Fresh Take, I saw the Italian Parmesan variety and just couldn't pass it up!

Kraft cheese and breadcrumb mix

Substituting Italian Parmesan in for Cheddar Jack & Bacon turned out to be just as delectable, as the Fresh Take gave our potatoes a cheesy, crunchy, melt-in-your-mouth yumminess that, to be honest, surprised even me.

I have to admit that I hadn't expected to love these potatoes as much as I did, but I was hooked from my first bite! We will definitely be having these again, as they tasted as if they were straight out of a restaurant... not to mention that they really were simple to make. I didn't hear a single complaint!

Whether you are a professional or a novice in the kitchen, it is truly easy to put a fresh take on your traditional summer meals and explore the unexpected — the combinations with Kraft Fresh Take are endless. Simply open the package, shake the mixes together, and add to your recipe!
